Amazing stay. i was provided a private room, even when i book a shared dorm due to open space :) The kitchen had plenty of cooking supplies. The space was kept very clean. I was able to store my bags after checkout. The receptionist was very friendly and was giving me recommendations for future travel in other regions later in my trip. Highly recommend! I had an amazing experience.

Location was great. Hostel very quiet, not a party Hostel. Alex who worked there was great. So friendly and gave great local advice on the area. Rooms were basic, but nice and warm.

The common area is a bit small and lacks power outlets.

The house is by the riverside, near the town center. Both the house and the rooms have a retro vibe, with lots of wood. The bathroom is quite clean, and the kitchen is small but fully equipped.

The room was cold because the window was defective, I slept with my hat and clothes on. The window did not close tightly. I discovered this late in the evening after check-in. After fixing this defect, I would still recommend this hostel, 20 Еuro is a good price

The place needs some repairs. The electricity in room 7 makes stroboscopic effects. If you plug more than one lamp, all of them goes crazy. We were afraid to plug in our electronics, so we were charging in the kitchen. The fridge cools like freezer. :/ all the veggies, soup and ham got frozen to stone hard.

The stuff is kind and helpful. The location is incredible! It is warm inside.

It might be a bit difficult to travel with a suitcase since the cobblestone road in the old town makes it hard to walk with. But there is nothing wrong with Hostel Merlin. The hostel itself is perfect and highly recommended. :)

This place is so cosy and homey. The location is good. Easy to get everywhere though the town is not big. Restaurant and the mini supermarket is just a minute away and 3 minutes to the centre plaza. Good view from the room. Alex is super nice and considerate that you guys must meet him. He's very helpful and informative. WIFis strong.Water is hot. You can use the kitchen to make it feel like at home. Will definitely stay here again. :)

Just the broken window which made the room cold at night

Everything apart from the window in the room needed fixing so you could not completely close it ... so was a bit cold ... I had th wear a hat and scarf in bed .. but everything else,was great .. staff great guests great thank-you Alex and I think martinu

Alex, the owner, is an exceptional host. He kindly offered to upgrade my room at no additional cost to accommodate both me and my cat. This has been one of the best stays in a pet-friendly accommodation I’ve ever experienced in Europe. Alex even sent me a proactive message with instructions for the self-check-in, making the process seamless. My entire stay was truly a great pleasure. I would definitely rate this an A+ experience and highly recommend staying here when visiting Český Krumlov. I only wish I could have extended my stay, but unfortunately, the second night was fully booked.

The bathrooms have a little roof slope, but it didn’t bother me. The bed I chooses had a little step under the mattress, which I felt, but I layed my hip over it so it wasn’t disturbing.

I booked two nights in advance and stayed four nights in total. I used the kitchen quite often, cause there was good equipment. The biggest pros are the coziness of the apartment and the good informations from the receptionist. There were also several kitchens with sitting areas and a balcony.🙃
