How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It is not an negative, but rather that you are aware of it: the parking is in the inner territory, and it is rather limited in space and possibility to maneuver, especially is one or another car if someone has parked without care about others... be ready to use your parking skill. The English /German skills at the reception is rather simplified, but was sufficient to get things organized. ... One thing, what would be nice to add: nice real coffee, not just filtered, but real coffee from the espresso machine.
Staff is good, very positive. the check-in and check-out were easy and fast. No problem at all. Breakfast is fine, rather good selection of products. Nothing negative to say about the hotel.

The hotel is well located, few minutes on foot outside the pedestrian zone/historical center. A shopping mall is also nearby. Free parking at the backyard but with a narrow entry, need to be careful. Breakfast included in the price of the room, typical buffet options. Daily cleaning.

The pillow was rather lumpy and foam-filled. The curtains were thin, so it was very bright early in the morning.
Good, basic breakfast with a wide range of choices. Helpful staff always available, even late in the evening.

Dated decoration. Staff at reception was not very friendly, maybe due to language barriers.

The part I liked least was taking a shower, because it didn't have a curtain to cover the water from getting the whole bathroom wet. Also, the shower fixture did not allow you to shower without holding it. In addition to this, television did not have a single English channel. The sun blinds don't work either, so you wake up very early...
The staff was friendly and the breakfast.

This is not the Savoy Hotel. It's only the name that's from Savoy. It's an average Czech hotel (old, a bit shabby, not modern). Breakfasts are very weak, the entrance to the car park is very narrow.
The parking is free. Hotel in the city centre.

I travel often and I was expecting a 4 stars Savoy, but it wasn't a 4 stars to my experience. Breakfast, it is a buffet with different choices, but really low quality and poor, no ones there to prepare a hot coffee or cappuccino, only machines. Not all the staff speak English, at night 22:00 in the evening (not 1:00AM) the lady at the reception doesn't understand English (and doesn't speak any other language a part from the local language), I had a problem and had to explain myself with Google Translate service and gestures. The day after, I almost lost the train connection because the taxi service was not arranged in time (as asked the night before)
Not much, the building is quite large and has a good position, my room was large and comfortable but nothing special. Also nobody came to re-do my room and clean, I was there two nights and I was expecting at least someone to clean the bathroom, or open the window for fresh air. I don't have to ask for this basic room-cleaning service... (I don't usually ask for this service in 3 stars hotel when I travel for work!)

Shower instead of bathtub would be my choice but it is what it is.
Great location. Extreme cleanness. Rich breakfast. Highly recommended.

Only one small thing that disturb us was not having some curtain or plastic separation beside bathtub to prevent water from showering to come into the bathroom and making it fully wet.
Everything was just perfect, polite and friendly staff, big and clean rooms, big bathroom with all you need inside, breakfast offering great choice of food and drinks, free parking in the backyard of the hotel. Location was also perfect less than 10 min on foot to the city center and ca. 20 min on foot to Budwar brewery.
