It was very difficult to find any staff member when checking in and checking out. This was not convenient as I was in a big rush when leaving.

Well located hotel at the lake in Tutzing. Very short walk from centre of the town. Comfortable bed and suitable for a night. Nothing massively special.

My stay did not start well because the desk lady who I had met before check-in forgot to leave my bedroom key in the locker box; I was thus left with no room and no luggage (the lady was sweet enough to offer to bring it to my room earlier) at 9pm and 0°C outside. Luckily the hotel/restaurant tenant could be reached by phone and eventually solved the problem. The blanket was too thin for the very cold temperatures but luckily I found my own way to get a second blanket and all was fine.

The room, though rather small and with many furniture, was clean and warm and the bed was comfortable. The shared bathroom/shower was very clean. I really enjoyed the buffet breakfast. The beautiful and peaceful view on the lake was a real plus.

The bathroom was fairly dated but clean. There were no fridge or coffee/tea making facilities in the room, and no room service so could not even order a coffee. Wifi not great For the price of the room it was not value for money compared to the various other hotels we stayed at during our road trip.

I had a room on the ground floor in the main building in which you either close the curtains and have no natural light or anyone can look into your room and see your stuff. The building is quite old and not renovated, the room was modern and well equipped though.

I liked the stuff's attitude towards guests, especially the receptionist is so kind and friendly. Besides, I think all the facilities were good enough; however, the internet was extremely weak, so that was the only problem I have confronted at the hotel.

Something that I would like to point out, is that even though the Hotel says it is "Lakefront" and in theory it is true, they in fact are, but it is kind of a useless lakefront in my opinion, you cannot get in the lake from that front, or sunbath for that matter. It is suitable for the views and having a relaxing time, but I think this part is worth mentioning. It is not something terrible, but it is a lack of information from the Hotel side. In any case, from the hotel, you can walk around 5-7 min north or 10-12 south and find different spots to sunbathe and get in the lake to swim. Also, (funny enough) we booked a standard double room, and the picture shows it is a queen-size bed, and there is no option to choose or at least communicate that you want either two twin beds or one queen bed (as MANY other hotels have in Booking.com.... also, there is a room option of a Basic twin room) so, to our surprise we get two twin beds, each one in different corners of the room, that we couldn't even push together when I went to reception to ask for a change (given that my reservation was in theory with a queen size bed - Standard double room- they say that they don't have any available, that I could have one the next day, but it was more expensive hahahahah which I just think it was an insult, given that it was their mistake. In the end, I did not change the room. In addition to that, I mentioned that the rooms are very clean, and yes they are spotless, but there is much more room for improvements in the hallways and staircases, as we saw many different spiders, spiderwebs, and other bugs.

The location is excellent, is a 10 min walk from the Sbahn station and there are good restaurants within walking distance. The rooms seem recently remodeled and were very clean and spacious, we had enough space for the two of us, plus our dog and his bed. The beds were super comfy, and we could get excellent sleep during our stay, it was not noisy outside, so it was fantastic to have the window open. I read the reviews before our travel that spoke very bad about the breakfast served and I have to say that it was a very good breakfast (not fantastic, but it is ok) You are served with ham, cheese, tomato, different types of bread, butter, fruit, cereal and milk, coffee/tea, and some days it included bacon and scrambled eggs, other it included sausages. Also, I would recommend you hit the breakfast buffet anytime between 8-9 am (based on previous reviews, it seemed that people that went later had a worse experience than mine, and I always went at 8:30)

The heating was broken, turned to max in the bathroom. Couldn't be turned down. The room was like a sauna. As it was the only room with a shower, I had to stay in that room. The so called wifi didn't work most of the time. The signal was too weak, and the 5g and 4g signals were also too weak. I had to take my computer outside to get a connection.
