The actual room was not what was advertised online - extremely small bathrooms, the bed mattress had stains on it, no air-conditioning. We had requested house cleaning (which we were told is free if we ask for it) and it was not provided. Slippers were not provided when we checked in. Overall, we had been travelling throughout Europe and this was the most expensive hotel per night, but the quality was very poor.

The location was very good - easy to walk around to places.

Nothing. Old and poorly attended. The girl at reception checked us in while she was answering her WhatsApp. Small rooms, no place for suitcases, old furniture, tiny bathroom with rusty accessories and dirty shower curtains . Corridors with carpet over carpet covering holes, full of dirt. It’s a youth hostel with hotel price. To top it off, at 1am someone started banging on the door for 10 minutes trying to get in and we called the hotel phone but no one answered. We had to call the police. It's amazing that no one answers emergencies even though there is no reception at night. Considering the quality-price ratio, it must be the most expensive hotel I have ever paid for the little it offers for the high price paid.

Shower didn’t drain in both the first room we were given and in the replacement room and when this was brought to staffs attention we were told it would be fine and to use them. Clean towels weren’t provided unless requested. No air conditioning. No ventilation in the bathroom so got hot quickly.

The bathroom was different from the pictures when we booked. It was smaller and didn't have a shower box, which made the whole bathroom soaked. Please make sure to confirm the bathroom before you accept the room.

Location and friendliness of the staff are the only good things. The possibility of leaving the luggage before check-in was also a good thing.

The curtains didn't fit the windows, so light was shining in all night. The room was incredibly basic and run down. The noise from the streets was so loudall night long. The noise from people coming in and out of the hotel slamming doors and being loud. The shower was small and needed cleaning. The gap at the bottom meant the shower room flooded. There was not a plug socket near any mirror. We didn't sleep properly for our whole stay. Would say it's great if you're coming to get drunk and experience munich that way, but I would avoid staying here if you're a family just wanting a nice holiday.

The shower. I’m not an overly massive guy but I’m pretty tall. The shower basin is that small that the shower curtain sticks to you while you’re showering, which then runs the risk of the shower curtain not running off into the basin, soaking the floor (talking from experience). The toilet was not clean when we arrived also. The drain in the sink also smelled funny when you ran water to brush your teeth or wash your hands. The plug socket on my side of the bed was also half hanging out of the wall, but it still worked fine… There was also no air conditioning but we were offered a fan which made the stay more comfortable for sure as it was very warm, but I’m not sure if they have enough fans for one per room so maybe we got lucky in that regard. I’m not sure.

The location of the property is fantastic. It’s a minute walk from the subway station, trams and five minutes walk to Marienplatz. The staff also seemed polite.
