How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bed cushions were a little too big for our taste.
We stayed in this hotel before and will ever go again. Nice hotel, very friendly staff, good Shopping and dining neighborhood and convenient location.

Cleanliness was better last time I stayed here. The curtain did not shade the whole window.

I was told at check in that the internet wasn’t working and they were aware of it but weren’t able to say when it would be fixed. This made it difficult to have an online meeting I needed to attend. Disappointed I wasn’t told this earlier or that no effort seemed to be made in the 4 days I was there to fix it. The room and bathroom, shower etc was very small but expected. The bed is very firm. No kettle, mugs or glasses in the room.
Location was pretty good to walk to different spots in the city. The room was nice and bright with natural light.

It could have been cleaner, but it was not terrible. I would also suggest to change the stitting chair as it looks deteriorated. Not related to the hotel, but friday was loud, although sunday was perfectly silence.
Very kind service on the front desk. I like that is open very early and late so it makes the check-in and check-out more flexible. I was there for work, so the room had everything I needed during my stay.

The sound isolation between rooms are not super good. Woke up the first morning wery early by people having a long discussion about travel plans in a nearby room.
Wery nice clean room. Perfect location and friendly staff at the counter.

The pillow was not great, but I survived. It also got a bit cold at night. The windows weren't cleaned, but I didn't really mind that. However, I did have a feeling that the bathroom wasn't the cleanest either.
Very nice breakfast for just 10 euros. The hotel was located right in the city center, so you can walk anywhere basically. The staff was nice and even let me check in earlier because my room was already ready. The room was cozy, had a TV, equipped with everything you need for a short stay. The towels were exchanged every day which I really appreciate.

The room wasn't really clean with a uv light. You could see where it wasn't clean like in the wardrobe and the nightstand

The breakfast selection could be a bit better. Some of the staff were a bit "cool" upon initially encountering them, but warmed up as my stay went on. A smile and a warm "hello" doesn't cost anything, but can make a huge difference. Some English speaking TV channels would be great, or else allow customers to cast to the TV's in their rooms.
This is very central, clean and tidy hotel, and was perfect for my stay. The rooms are a reasonable size with a small desk work station. Reception is manned 24 hours and they have a nice selection of snacks and drinks available all day. The Wifi was good, allowing me to watch Netflix on my laptop. The location is great, being right in the Altstadt, with access from two streets. This is a no frills, functional hotel, but I would definitely stay again as I comfortable and happy for the week I was there :-).

Side building if a so GKS room, quite rarely seen additional elevator security door…may experience the feeling of getting stuck, unable to open if promptly; the lift would only reach 3rd floor

Mentioned already, dirty tooth mug and no sanitary bags in box.
This was a stop over stay only, and okay for one night. The bed was not comfortable, tilted towards one side - so too soft. No sanitary pad bags in box. Tooth mug, was dirty - showed this to the cleaning lady next morning. Dried toothpaste, settled at the bottom of the mug. Breakfast was fine, and adequate for the price. As a brief stay, it was in order. Location good, though not all that quiet.
