There was only one downside during our stay. We received many mosquito bites while sleeping. The weather was hot (32 degrees) so we needed to leave the smaller windows open at night. Screens on the windows would help. When booking through Booking.com, the site made it look like breakfast was included. When we arrived, we found out that it was not included in our rate. Disappointing, but with so many bakeries in the area, it was not an issue.

Location was fabulous! A quaint old hotel in the centre of Old Spandau.

Really helpful and friendly hotel staff. I have rarely met hotel staff this warm and helpful. Ideal location if you want to visit a concert in Spandau.

There is nothing to dislike.

The hotel is set in old Spandau - a town with a relaxed feel - but within easy reach of Berlin. The proprietors are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and a delicious breakfast is served each day.

The main problem was the room, it was old, the bed was uncomfortable, and there was a lot of noise from the street. I don't think such a room deserves a 3 star rating.

The breakfast was really good, with a good selection, and very nice staff that always helped. They even offered gluten free bread that we asked for. The location is pretty close to the Spandau train station, and located in the beautiful old Spandau. but if the target is Berlin city center, then its a bit far.

The owner and the staff were most welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and equipped with a safe and minibar, and was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, and the hotel is located right in the centre of the Altstadt, with access to restaurants etc. The U Bahn station is less than 5 minutes walk, and Spandau Hbf only 10 minutes walk.

Dear Gentlemen, The reservation made in advance was with breakfast. Unfortunately, it was not the case. As soon as I arrive there I was informed it was without breakfast. Thus, I have paid with my debit card, but approx. 1 hour later the receptionist asked me to pay it again, because their machine was not indicating that I had paid the daily rate. I showed them the debit in my account, it was processed accordingly. The lady asked me even to take a pic of my personal bank card (which is definitely very personal and confidential). I accepted it because I felt very uncomfortable with the whole situation. Surely it is not a place I will stay again. Important note: anything against the Lady and the Sir, personally. It is related to their behavior as receptionists. For sure, there are windows for improvements. Cordially yours, Claudia Cruz

The first impression was not of being welcome but "dispatched" to the room. Desappointed because they have 2 buildings and without worning on the site, I was in the green one (not the old, red with timber-framed façade one). 3rd floor, no lift. Too expensive room for what you get. Not a bad thing, but it should be correctly stated: it says that they have a private parking facilities available (for a surcharge and by prior arrangement) but it's actually a public one about 300mts aways for a very reasonable price.

Location in Spandau is great. If you want to go to Berlin you can take the train 10min walk to the station and a ca 30min ride. WiFi worked well. Breakfast was pretty good. The room was very simple, clean. Nice and friendly man (I think he was the proprietor) taking care of the service.
