Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaThe room was very clean and there is a daily cleaning service for the room. Room is very spacious with TV, sofa, table and chair, and a double bed. There is also wardrobe. The bath tub with WC is separate. There is also a balcony and a supermarket behind the hotel. Lift is also there in the hotel.

GermanyThe balcony was along the street, so we were slightly anxious about the security.
The room was well furnished with a nice couch, desk, and lumps. The bed was large enough for two people. The room also has a large balcony where we can relax ourselves. Moreover, the price was super cheap!

IcelandFirst room I got was not as described and had a twin bed and not a double bed as booked. Some guy hinted that the rooms in the main building cost 10€ more but this does not say anywhere on the site. It only shows the rooms in the main building and that is what I booked.
First room we got was not that good but this is my second time here. The rooms in the main building are big and the best are comfortable. They clean and change sheets every day if needed. Lots of drinks, cigarettes and things for sale 24/7 in the lobby, super market behind the hotel, lots of great restaurants in walking distance and the bus comes every 10 mins that goes straight to Central Station or to Charlotten platz. So great location, balconies for smokers and very big nice balconies on the south facing side. I would say for the money, great hotel and friendly staff.

BulgariaVery poor customer service and extremely bad communication with the hotel. We planned to travel to Stuttgart from Munich but we were stuck at the snowstorm and there were no buses, trains, or even another way to visit the city and to check in the hotel. I explained this situation several times to receptionist/managers and they just told me that they don’t care about the situation, because if they make an exceptions, what about their business? So impolite and rude on the phone even though there were unexpected circumstances, not our (client) fault. I raised a request to the hotel to cancel my booking for free or charge me for one night (not all prepaid nights), but they rejected my request. I know the policy of the hotel, but what about situations that we are not able to control. If one day I have plans to visit Stuttgart, I would never book this particular place.
Nothing good to say to this hotel and communication.

GermanyBlankets can be short for tall people. So better inform in advance so that hotel staff can take care of it.
Comfy and spacious for a solo booking. Reception has a vending machine for water and other essentials for late night arrival. During the day, the penny supermarket is right in front which is very convenient.

United KingdomIt was passable for a night but I wouldn't want to stay any longer. There was not a feeling of freshness which I desire for when booking a hotel. Parking is on the road side and paid. Being the Halloween night, we could hear noise throughout the night coming from the streets outside.
It is an old place. Location is not bad. The room look vinted with old furniture. There was a kettle in the bathroom and 4 glasses. No hair dryer. The beds were ok. The staff at the reception greeted well.

United KingdomNo 24 hour reception. We were delayed 4 hours and landed at 11.30 pm. We then had to go to the sister hotel on the other side of the city, pay and get the codes for automatic check in. Something to be aware of if you might be delayed. It was exactly what we didn't want at the time. Also, the room was small, basic and tired and not good value for money. The hotel's location is quiet, but it is at the top of a steep hill going up from the city centre. Bus transport is good, though.
The breakfast was typically good for Germany.

United KingdomThe place was super unsafe. We had a sleepless night where we had to call the police, as there was a man trying to break in. He was shouting, banging on the door and then trying to push the door to get in. That was at 5am. Before that there was some sort of argument/party going on just outside our door at midnight. There was no help or support provided by the hotel. The reception was closed. Nobody was there to help us. We were scared and we’re not able to get any sleep whatsoever. The hotel apologised, but when I asked about the refund they REFUSED!!! It’s unbelievable. First they let their guests be unsafe and then they still charge you for the WORST STAY. We travel a lot and stayed in many places, but never had a situation like this. Avoid this place, as they don’t care about their guests at all. Also the shower door was broken, so you couldn’t lock it properly, the shower head had a leak, the room door didn’t work as it should, so you had to bang it loudly to be able to close the door. The place seems like rundown party house where no one cares about their guests
Nothing
