Kaufering - would use as a base as not much in town.lovely walk by the lake.

The location of the hotel is lovely right by a stream and park. Not much to do in Kaufering but this place we stayed had it all. Exceptional food, we sat outside under a lit tree and it felt very special. Service was really friendly. Would definitely return.

The communication was excellent and I could check-in at any time with the provided instructions. The hotel is recently renovated and is very clean, the rooms of good size and the breakfast is good.

The hotel is perfectly located on the Romantic Road cycle route - you don’t have to look for it. Bike storage was excellent. Our bikes were locked up inside a garage. We also appreciated how brightly lit our room was. Too many rooms we have stayed in are so poorly lit it depressing after the sun goes down.

When we arrived we went to the restaurant in the hotel. But we were not given the menu right away, because as it turned out, the kitchen was already closed. But we didn't know about it and if we were just given a menu and told "drinks only, kitchen closed" that would have been better. We looked like we were to blame for something. The drinks must also be selected from the menu.

Good hotel, freshly renovated, there is a refrigerator. Parking nearby, quiet place. We liked everything.

We arrived on a motorbike with a broken ignition switch. To turn off the bike I have to disconnect the battery, which is not easy. I parked on the street and left the motor running (the bike is an older bmw with original, very silent exhausts)while I went to reception to find out where to park and then stop it. Meanwhile my wife was being verbally abused by people in the beer garden insisting she turn off the bike. When I returned her worst abuser stopped when he saw me but 2 other parties continued the abuse even though my wife had explained the situation and politely asked for their patience. It was very nasty. 10 minutes later we were eating lunch, with many hostile glances, in the same beer garden. A group of Harley riders arrived with very, very loud bikes which they kept running for quite a while, not one comment was made towards them. Even though Staff were lovely, local drunks were nasty cowards. We will not come here again.

All staff were exceptional. Friendly, efficient and attentive. Room was comfortable, but try to avoid Room 1 on a Saturday night as it overlooks the beer garden and patrons are very noisy late into the night.

Our family stayed in a very clean 3 bedroom apartment that was bigger than we expected. Staff was friendly. Dinner and breakfast were great! Located near the Hohenzollern Castle which we visited the next day.
