I would have liked to be able to open the room's windows further (3-7th floors) but I understand the liability. We had an inside room and it was a little warm without much air circulating; however, we did turn on the a/c (cold was not an option now), but it did move the air around. Nothing to complain about at all. :)

This is my third time at this H2 hotel. I have also stayed at the H2 in Leipzig -- good, too. My cousin and I were here last August 2021, then a friend was with me May 2022, and now my son accompanied me to Berlin September 2022. We stayed 4 nights and were pleased with all the staff. The breakfast is a little pricey but it is full of all types of food, hot and cold. Good options for all kinds of foods. It helped us to get ready for each day's sightseeing. This hotel is next door to the Hofbrauhaus where the food is good and the experience is so much fun. This H2 is about 1.5 blocks from the actual Alexander Platz where many stores, little diners are close and above all, the Alexander Platz train station and Ubahns can all be easily caught for any part of town or excursions to other cities. We did walk about 6 blocks one evening to the Hackescher Markt for dinner and we wanted to see Anne Frank's family's apartment before the war ... a good ice cream store is nearby, too. Our room was ready early and the staff was accommodating. We will stay there again in the future. I recommend it highly!!!

There is no early check option. We booked 2 double bed rooms because there were 4 of us and we got 2 four-bed rooms, so we paid more for one room if they had already given us rooms for 4 people because there was no double bed. Considering that we spent one night in the hotel, we could not use the breakfast option because we left it at 5 in the morning. When asked if we could use the breakfast on the day of arrival, i.e. before check-in, instead of on the day of departure, the hotel did not want to meet us.

The shower area would initially fill up with water and almost run over until I had the mechanic come up and unclog the drain. The shower door would not properly seal along the glass walls so water would constantly leak out and wet the floor pretty heavily. The hot water would pulsate between hot then cool, hot then cool, constantly while showering. One of the windows was broken and did not swing inward like the other, so ventilation was a little tough. So it was particularly warm, as the AC did not cool the room really at all. It blew out pretty warm air. We had to rely on cool outside air at night to cool down the room, only to hear city street noise and have to close windows in the middle of the night.

Area was in the heart of the city well within walking distance of major sites to see. Plenty of good food options nearby and even a laundromat for longer trips. The staff was also very nice and helpful. The room was a fairly tight fit but not abnormal for Europe. The bathroom was a decent size and even had the toilet in a separate enclosure.

this is my 4th time in this hotel. it was great as it gets. the breakfast was perfect and the staff are excellent.

Cleanliness need a massive improvement. The carpets throughout the hotel are stained and claiming for some attention. Room was not clean to a good standard, shower keeps getting cold every few seconds, bed and pillow not great.

The was no kettle for tea/coffee in the room. The pillows were awful! The most uncomfortable pillows I've ever come across

I stayed for 3 days. My room was too small and in front of an apartment building. I had to cover with a curtain all times, and it was noisy during night. I asked to change the room. And they gave me next door,???. TV remote control did not work. I selected the hotel Because it was rated 8. 2 on booking. Com.which shouldn't be rated like that.

shower was not usable - as water came out either extremely hot or cold - risk of burning your skin ! telling the staff about this issue, we didn't receive almost no reaction , nor excuse - we will inform the technician ..

We requested twin beds but got a king size with the mattresses prepared for 2. Not a major issue but would prefer having separate beds.

The place was clean and the staff friendly. The shower is amazing and the bed too.
