The beds were a bit rickety (wobbly, broken ladder etc) and could do with a bit of fixing up.

Staff were helpful and it was nice and cheap. Perfect for a solo traveller who just needs a place to sleep. Close to town as well.

Noise from the trains at night made it hard to sleep. The curtain also didn’t cover the entire window so it was bright during the night from the lighting outside. The bunk beds were also pretty wobbly. We couldn’t safely secure our stuff.

Exactly what we were expecting for the amount you pay. It’s a budget hostel. Beds were comfy, showers in good working order, it was clean, kitchen well equipped, and friendly owner. Also location is great being next to a train station.

the manager is, if i put it in a good way, friendly, if put it the opposite, loud and weird. he is often talking to himself or yelling at somebody, DAY AND NIGHT. ALL THE TIME. yes. night time too. the hostal is RIGHT next to the train track and the bus stop. it was somehow helping me to sleep better, but if you are the kind of person who can't take it, you know what to do.

excellent location. you can go right to düsseldorf or köln from the train station right in front of the hostel. the bus stop right in front allows you to go over to the netherlands. the pricing was decent as well. it has a shared kitchen which was very useful.

A little old renovation

This is a guest house with a pleasant owner, a cozy kitchen and a balcony, the walk to the station or the center is about 15-20 minutes, the price is very reasonable. Also a beautiful cat lives in the house.

I have booked a Bett in a room, it has two windows, however one is without curtains. Und the side out of the window ist the street. It has really no privacy protect for girls.

I had given them notice well in advance that I would arrive at noon, when the reception was going to open. The receptionist arrived around 15 minutes later after I called them. No lockers in the room that was possible to lock, but they arranged a small locker in the communal area for me.

A quite nice small hostel close to the city centre. Large kitchen with enough of equipment and a good seating area. There is also a small garden.

The hostel was located quite far from the historic centre. It's also close to a train station so the sound of the trains passing by might be bothersome for others (for me it wasn't though). The building looked quite old inside (sort of run down to be honest). The stairs were also quite dark at night when I stayed there. The check-in was until 8 PM, which is quite early (I arrived late at around 8:30 PM due to a bus cancellation, but fortunately some employees of the hostel were about to leave at that time and they let me enter and do the check-in).

The shared room was quite big as well as the bed which was quite comfy. Overall the hostel looked generally clean. The staff was also quite helpful and there are a few interesting places to see located nearby.

nice cheap hostel. very basic but everything you need and nothing more. nice friendly staff. the building could use some modernisation but I’m sure it wouldn’t be as cheap if they did that. very good shower too!

The room was too warm because one of the guests put the heater on to max strength. It was unberable. It is not the hostel's fault, but something to have in mind.
