How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Pillows are horrible. The room was too hot and the covers so heavy we had to turn the bizzare and very loud AC on. Room wasn't particulary well cleaned. The only thing that was offered in the room is 2 rolls of toilet paper and to paper cups (over the toilets without even a bag) . No bottle of water, no hand tissue no electric water kettle or small coffee bags to drink in the morning. We payed 135 for a night of very bad sleep.
Just the location i guess. From the window you could see an old church wich was ok.

Bathroom was really small, moving around in there was difficult, barely any space between sink and wall to get to the toilet. Good enough for two nights, but keep in mind that it could be a tight fit, not sure how the other rooms are.
Great location, close to central station, from there every spot in walking distance. Room faced the backyard so it was silent enough, no noise from the street.

When I was on the booking.com website, I m sure I chose the two rooms and seperate beds, different beds. But when I went to hotel all the beds were twin. I said the otel personel they changed the rooms. Why do you do your own thing instead of what I choose?
The place of the otel was good. Breakfast was also very well. Car park area was the large and also the price was the better than the others.

Great location, small but practical, well-equipped room. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is also perfect. I will come back to Aachen again, because the city is a jewel box, I will stay here again.

Pillows were too big!
Great location. Easy to get to by car, with underground parking, and walking distance to city centre. Good bars and restaurants nearby. Hotel and room were clean and well maintained. Friendly and efficient staff.

I had a very hard time finding the place. wound up at the Ibis and she pointed me in the right direction--equally bad. asked people on the street and then went to a hotel. she gave me a map--took me outside and pointed until I saw BandB sign.

internet sign inside the room unstable, breakfast very simple for the paid price (not even bacon or scrambled eggs), Room very old and dusty, toilet paper of inferior quality. There are no plugs to charge phone near the bed.
