How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The room, location, breakfast, everything was very good. The hotel exceeded our expectations and we would love to stay there again. There was also the advantage of being near most of the places we wanted to visit, and the walkability was amazing.

Only one pillow and it was warm during the night. However the mattresses had memory foam on top and it was winter so heating was prob high and whilst warm, the beds were really comfy
Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all super friendly and rooms were basic but comfortable! Location is brilliant! S line at the end of the street and checkpoint Charlie around the corner. We also used the Lidl for bits and pieces as we stayed for 4 nights.

Breakfast a bit on the expensive side, but seems to be the norm for Berlin. I wouldn't class this as a dislike, but what is quite confusing when booking is that there are two IBIS hotels on Anhalter Strasse within about 20 metres of each other: the IBIS Budget at no 6 and the IBIS City at No 4, both on Anhalter strasse.
Breakfast gives an excellent and unlimited choice of food and drinks. Able to leave labeled luggage in a designated room until the evening on last day of stay. Friendly staff, especially the boss. Rooms clean and quiet with shower etc. Very convenient for Anhalter Bahnhof S-Bahn. A tip: a very quick route to Hauptbahnhof (Main railway station) is take S-Bahn to BrandenburgerTor (two stops) and then the U5 to the Main station. It seems that not many people are aware of this route. Obviously the route can be reversed to travel back to hotel, if you can find that is U5, The hotel is within handy walking distance of a proper Post Office and various important Berlin locations.

I chose this hotel because of the king-size bed and soundproof. The wall isolate the sound pretty good. But the doors are quite weak in this regards: when someone was in the hall, you can hear them speaking. And elevator noise: I was able to hear the mechanism of elevator. So, if you want quieter room, as in the far dead end further from elevator. The power outlets have caps, which are closing them, when they are not in use. But when you open it - it is a bit of dirty. It is not a big issue for me and 1 wet wipe helped, but just not be afraid of finding it. The bathroom is an insertable into the room sub-room made out of plastic. In general, it is ok and clean, but overall it seems to be a bit weak. Under me it was making some cracking noises, but in the end nothing was broken. It is stronger than it seems, still it could be slightly strange at the beginning.
Location is very good. It is 10-15 minutes walking distance from the center of Berlin. There was mostly quiet. There were some sparse motorbikes on the street in the evening, but the windows a good enough to almost block the noise. The room is reasonably small - in a sense that there is place to store your luggage, hang your closes, sit behind the desk. And the big and comfortable bed! I still remember time when Ibis provided pillow menu. Not anymore, I guess.. The access to the parking is through the elevator, so no problem with luggage (meaning, there are no stairs). Parking is not that big, but there were several empty spots any time. The breakfast is also very good! Some hot meal and different types of bacon, cheese and pastries. And, of course, waffles, which you can prepare on your own! A variety of jams included. The hotel also provides bike renting, but I didn't use them, only saw near the entrance. The personnel is very helpful and ready to answer all your questions.

When I was making a reservation, I made a note, if the check in is avaliable before the time it said (3pm), if the hotel could notify me. We made a check in around 2:30 pm, so I don't see why we weren't notified, that we could check in.
