I don't know if it's possible to find a bed in Hamburg for less than 15 Euro. So the value is amazing considering being in the centre of Hamburg. The staff is super friendly. Make yourself a coffe or tea at anytime, stay with likeminded people and enjoy it. In case you wish to have your own bedroo m, spend another 100 Euro and you will be fine to in a different place. Fazit: great hostel, amazing staff and cool people

Each key comes with a chip for opening an entrance door in the building and door to your floor. Unfortunately, mine didn't work for floor where were reception and common kitchen. I understood this only when I tried to leave linen and key for my checkout. So I needed to wait till someone opens the door. But yeah, if there is a kitchen for everyone, then I would like to have access to it, it's floor. It was only one small minus for me. Just check if your chip is working everywhere it should.

The hostel based on two (maybe more?) floors, so one of them is totally for female rooms and bathrooms. Super safe! Didn't expect, but each bathroom on female floor was private, like in a regular flat. Location is top: near are grocery shops, pharmacy, eating/drinking places. Short walk till U-/S-Bahn stations. Only 2 S-Bahn stops from Hamburg Hbf (main train station).

I was a really cool and old style hostel in a very good location. It is a hostel for different kind of people, that made it interesting. It was a great place to work and get to know Hamburg.

Great location at the gates of the Schanzenviertel with good access to public transportation. The personal shows great effort in creating a friendly environment. Free coffee and tea is a plus.

Honestly for the money and the two nights I was staying this was absolutely perfect. I had a bed on the girls-only floor, which was a lot smaller than the main floor of the hostel. The room for six had 3 bunk beds and was on the larger side for hostels - definitely enough space for everyone to have their things and not be bumping into something all the time. Each bed had a shelf, a light and a locker (no need for own padlocks). There were 3 bathrooms/showers on the floor and I never had a problem finding a free one when I needed it. The kitchen had portable electric cookers, microwaves, fridges and a dishwasher + free to make tea and coffee. Plenty of pans, pots, dishes and cups to go around. I've stayed in cleaner hostels but I've also stayed with friends whose apartments were much worse than this, I spotted a little mold in the shower and I purposefully did not inspect any corners for dust or anything like that. But all the rooms smelled nice, which is always a good indicator to me that cleaning is happening on a regular basis.

There was a bar below the hostel. Luckily I was in a room where I could not hear the noise, but another guest told me it disturbed her night.

The hostel was excellent. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Its so nice to meet other guests - this does not happen in a hotel in the same way. The hostel was well run. I felt safe.

I liked everything about it but people tend to stay up quite late, and chat; they gather in the kitchen area so if you are on the down floor (mixed/ men’s quarters) it could be a little noisy maybe but everyone is mostly respectful here.

The staff is just great. They are so friendly and helpful. Everything is clean. There is a big kitchen where you can cook, spices pots and pans are available, and coffee and tea are free. There is open mic nights at Thursday, guitar, piano everything that you need to have a perfect stay with your friends and family. The value for money is just great!!! We stayed at the women’s quarter. Very clean and quite.
