We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United States-radiators not working (I checked both bathrooms on the floor and multiple rooms), text from manager stated owner refused to fix them. I’m guessing they didn’t want to pay to heat the place or, they didn’t want to pay to have someone fix the radiators. I had to leave and find another hotel with my 7yr old daughter. -hot water carafe had a white slime inside of it, do not recommend use. -no one in office at any of the times I stopped by to try and talk about the radiator situation so I had to call and text. -community area in basement was sketchy.

New ZealandNot enough lighting to show where entrance is, if checking in at night, fortunately other guests going into town helped me find entrance.
The rooms were beautifully presented and the location was 6 minutes walk from the centre of the village and also the train station. There was also a free pass for buses to the castles and other tourist sites.

SwitzerlandI had booked a single room of 10 m2 - it contained a single bed plus a bunk bed, so it was not very spacious. Quite some other guests come in groups and tend to be noisy. The reception is open only a few hours in the morning. The wifi did not work well.
You get a place to sleep at a modest price. Wash basin and shower are shared among guests in four rooms. I was happy to get a room at the more quiet back side. A water boiler and some coffee and tea are available in the room.

United KingdomCheck-in instructions basically state you must arrive between 12:00 and 14:00 or you can't get in. We arrived just after 14:00 to find a note on the office door listing names and room numbers saying just go let yourself into your room. Should just change the check in instructions to read "check in any time after 12:00".
Clean, simple hostel, very close to the centre of town. Comfortable beds, modern well-maintained bathrooms. No obvious noise from other rooms during our stay in August 2022. Perfect for a couple of nights.

Isle of Manno curtains as it had been broken by previous guest. tried to report by phone and message and no reply until we were asleep. they were aware that I was staying in a room with my 12 year old so (that’s why I booked a family room) so this should have been fixed in advance. very disappointing. I have never written a negative review before.

New ZealandThe wifi did not work well at all which was very frustrating. We payed about $227 and thought that it was not worth this at all. It was super loud as it backed onto a Main Street. The bathrooms were not overly clean and there was no toilet paper in one bathroom, and only one roll in the other. Did not seem well stocked at all.

Israel1. We, my grandson and I, spent two nights in a small room. Despite I asked in advance to reserve a room with two beds, we found only one bed and we should sleep together in one bed. 2. The sheet on the bed was dirty with spots of somebody's blood!!! I wrote emails to the owner (via booking email) and asked to replace the sheet. NOBODY came. The owner simply ignored my request! Finally, we should sleep dressed in the bad. 3. Also, there was rather hot in the room, as there was no air conditioning in the room. 4. There was one nightstand (one for two people) near the bed. And the drawers of the nightstand were without a bottom! 5. In the bathroom, there was neither shampoo nor gel for body wash. The shower flows from both sides. 6. There is nothing useful in the kitchen - no water, no dishes, no knives, spoons, or forks. There is only a Refrigerator, stove and TV. So, none used this "facility". 7. We found a medium-sized cockroach on the table in the room. 8. When we want to leave our luggage after checkout, the women in the cafe (on the first floor) told us to leave them in the open "kitchen". So, we could not leave our staff in an unsafe place. 9. Finally, there was nobody to talk with - we did not see the owner, and he/she did not resolve our request sent by email.
