How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).

Restaurant too expensive for basic food.. Registered and got key to be then told parking was €17 pn.Way to expensive!!!

With so much parking available it was a surprise we had to pay to park.

The menu at the hotel for dinner is a bit expensive. I think the staff was a bit confused on reception and at the hotel like this I think they might be much more welcoming, helpful and kind. At check-in, they gave us separated beds, even when we checked one, so we requested a change. On check-out, nobody validated our parking ticket, they did only when we came back with the question if parking was not included, when the machine wanted us to pay 17€.
The hotel was really nice - interior of the hotel, breakfast, bar, rooms were super. Room was spacious, clean, quiet with a comfy bed. On breakfast there were wide range of choise. The bar is open every day til 1 a.m. and the waiter there was helpful and kind. You can take a dinner at the hotel too. The location was great, so close to the highway. We enjoyed the stay.

Although convenient location off major highway and may be good for business travelers, a bit out of the way for those wanting to experience the main part of the village of Ettlingen.

- Not enough charge points for car - Breakfast spread could have been better for the money you pay for - price of dinner is a bit high.
Location - just over the exit of autobahn Parking space - lot of space for cars to park Room size - decent space for a family View - nice view from the room through the lush green of Black Forest Facilities - decent gym, Sauna, steam etc. corridor - nicely decorated with paintings and pleasant carpet Place to sit for breakfast - enough space to handle the crowd. Coffee machine at reception - nice bonus for people to take away coffee in the morning when you drive into the Black Forest.

Nice hotel for overnight stay on long journeys north or south. Located in a remote area close to the motorway (which I could not hear with windows closed.) I had dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed the friendly service and good food, and breakfast had all I needed, too.

in the listing, it was mentioned that the hotel has a swimming pool - which is not the case. Apparently they had a swimming pool few years back but now it's no longer there. This is disappointing since we had kids who were prepared to have a go in the pool.
Superior room was nice and comfortable. Breakfast had lots of options. Overall stay was good.

Bathroom smelled like smoke. Water did not drain from shower.
The room was spacious, modern, and everything was spotless. Perfectly accessible from multiple highways but the room was very quiet. Parking right in front of entrance. Comfortable bed. Good value for money.

One of the best hotels i have stayed in in a long time. Lovely room. Big comfortable bed. What really stood out were the two bottles of complementary water. Such a nice touch as there is nothing worse than arriving at a hotel and having the choice to buy eitehr expernsive water from the min bar or go out shopping again. More hotels should follow suit as it doesnt cost much and pleases the guests. THe internet was good and fast and the choice of food at breakfasst was very good.

The bathroom exhaust seems to be not working or not functioning properly
We had an overnight stay here in our long commute, and it was comfortable. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We liked the nice morning breakfast. We tried the hotel restaurant for dinner, which was better than expected. Also, car parking was convenient right in front of the hotel with no extra charge
