The kitsch rock music theme of the hotel was not immediately apparent when booking. This hotel ‘concept’ was quirky at best, infuriating at worst. The cymbal light shades are quaint, the assembly of instrument in the foyer curious - a Wagner tuba and rotary trumpet are interesting features. Creating an entire hotel concept around music I would imagine that the designers would be aware that the conventional music staff has five lines - not four. I suppose the hotel concept could have been based on plainchant but I rather doubt this. I find it odd that you invest so much money in plastering four line staffs throughout the hotel. Did no one bother to check this? This minor ‘quirk’ aside, what was very annoying about the hotel’s music ‘concept’ was that instead of the room being equipped with practical items such as bar fridges and irons/ironing boards they were instead equipped with rather lame Marshall amplifiers. It is entirely possible that perhaps I’m just not the hotel’s demographic customer and I’m more suited to a Hilton or Intercontinental hotel. Perhaps make your hotel ‘rock music concept’ more obvious to other potential customers who may be excited by or less impressed with the lack of practical furnishings in rooms.

Wooden floor wasn’t clean as it should be. Think they don’t do vacuum cleaning. Other than that, it was very clean. If it wasn’t for that, would be 10.

Selection for breakfast was limited. It would be an enhancement to have water and tea / coffee facilities in room.

Hotel well situated roughly ten minute walk from the amazing Cathedral. Rooms were comfortable and clean and staff friendly and welcoming. This hotel is quirky and modern with good, lively bar area. Selection at breakfast was limited but good, we really enjoyed out stay.

I wish the rooms were not oblong in shape. Was a bit disappointed with the bathroom since it was more like a walk in shower with a toilet, and the walls were just frosted glass, then the sink separated out. Don't think many reviews have called that out tbh and it's worth doing so!

Loved the bar, location and staff were so friendly. The Pros absolutely outweighed the cons and I would recommend this for a couple nights stay. We also loved that you could opt out of the cleaning service for a free drink at the bar.

I loved this hotel, it hat a great vibe and spacious room. The location is right near a train stop which made it super easy to get to the city center. The grocery store next door was great for a quick snack or drink in the room.

The breakfast didn't have a lot of options. The check-in was a self check-in, no explanation of what was where (where is the breakfast held etc., although most of this was printed on the inside of the closet door in the room). No clear reception, only bar of the restaurant.

Very nice ambiance in the hotel, modern with a very nice feel to it. The room was modern with a beautiful shower in the room. Very close to the city and the metro station which made this a good hotel for a city trip to Cologne.

Perfect location. A few mins from a U-bahn to take you to the centre and right next door to a supermarket. Only a 25 min walk to the main centre and also lots of amenities and restaurants in the vicinity as well. We walked everywhere and to all the Christmas markets. Very friendly staff, comfy and clean room. Fab power shower and the breakfast had all you needed. There are Galleys on various floors so you can help yourself to hot drinks at any time, which was a nice touch.

The pillows were not up to the same standard as the rest of the bed/bedroom. The duvet was individual for a double bed, it was fine for me as I was travelling alone, but it was a strange detail that let down a bit the whole experience. Otherwise it was a fantastic place.

Very nice modern-looking hotel. Obviously targeted at young modern travelers, Marshall bluetooth speakers around the room, industrial, rock-inspired decoration. I loved the bed and the bathroom. The garage service was very convenient. The breakfast service was very good too. Unfortunately I didn't have time to try the cocktail bar but it looked very good too.

- in the morning we heard very loud the cleaning stuff in the room above in action what woke us up unfortunately - you have to go through the toilet to get to the shower, not everyone’s favorite - We couldn’t find a light switch to turn on only bathroom, so going to the bathroom at night either in dark or wake everyone up with light, unfortunate - expected a bit more for the price

tea and coffee only available in galleys on floors 2-4 but floor 3 and 4 were out of service so had to go down 4 floors and back up to get a drink in the morning. Also, for a double bed we had two single duvets to sleep with which isn’t what is expected of that room configuration.
