Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSmall quibble but a machine to make real coffee in the kitchen would be a great addition. If you didn't have eye-masks for sleeping you might be woken early by the light coming in through very pale curtains
The hotel vibe was great. The downstairs bar was very stylish and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a corner room on the 9th floor with a fantastic view and the floor to ceiling windows made it very light and airy. The bed was comfortable and the shower good. The rooms are not large but they were well equipped and laid out and perfect for a short stay with not too much luggage. The whole hotel was characterful and very well presented. Free tea/instant coffee in the kitchens on each floor is a good idea. The reception staff were super helpful about storing our luggage for as long as we wanted on our departure day. Would definitely recommend.

United KingdomThe rooms are quite small but well equipped
The hotel has a fun atmosphere and all the signage is in English and all the staff spoke English. We really enjoyed the comfortable bed and the breakfasts. The rooms have excellent sound proofing so we weren't aware of anyone else being there in adjacent rooms.

BrazilGreat amenities in the room, very comfortable, good shower. Breakfast is amazing. Many restaurants in the surroundings. Close to central station and walking distance from Munich’s main attractions. There is a trendy bar in the lobby, always full of people. In the night we arrived there was a party going on - the room was super quiet though.

Everything is great about this hotel. Bar, ambiance, hotel room, staff, just breakfast a bit overpriced if not booked in advance

UkraineThe room was very small and for a single person. We had do request additional stuff in the lobby. Check-in process is rather cumbersome with their automated software, which requires attention anyway from the hostess.
Clean and everything is in place.

United StatesVery scratchy, cheap, uncomfortable sheets. No privacy for the shower - it’s clear glass that opens to the room. Check in is Ryanair style - you do all the self registration work while an employee watches you struggle through a 5+ minutes of registration work on an iPad. Breakfast is overpriced. Beware that the first floor rooms are essentially part of the bar area that’s open 24/7 and gets busy.
Well located and good value for money considering it wasn’t expensive at all. (But you get what you pay for.) Breakfast was good though a bit expensive (€20 if you pay ahead).

SingaporeRoom got very cold and adjusting the heating didn't do much. Also didn't like that there wasn't a kettle in the room or a mini fridge. Only realised that hot water is available at the galley on each floor much later on - would be good if this was communicated better.
Beautiful hotel in a great location. Within comfortable walking distance of the tram stop and restaurants.

GermanyThe room was so small, there was no possibility to put mobile, watch or a drink a side near a bed when one is in the bed. that was very bad.

BelgiumThe hotel overall has a an incredibly friendly vibe. The staff were always accommodating and with a smile. They offer little extras like free citrus water in the lobby and free tea in the galley kitchens on each floor that make the stay more comfortable. I stayed in the smaller room which is quite tiny, but the space is used efficiently. The bed was super comfortable but really was like a nest so may not be so good for someone with reduced mobility. The lobby was a very inviting place where you could easily just hang out or have a drink. The hotel is also in a good location to explore different parts of the city with good access to the main train station.

United StatesThe rooms were small and the bedding was really only for one person. We needed to ask for an extra blanket but received one quickly. Of course, the price was very high but to be expected due to Oktoberfest.
The staff was quick to assist us with any needs. The location was perfect for getting to Oktoberfest and many other sites were within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was very nice.
