Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere was pounding music until 2am, it was so loud that my bed frame was shaking. Completely ridiculous way to operate a hostel, I understand people come here for a good time, but most want to sleep.
Was a good location with good common spaces and a good bed

United KingdomThe reception staff were helpful and polite but most of the bar staff were rude.
The location was perfect! The restaurant and bar were really good too! And they had happy hour each day, which helped the spending money go further! Cheap coffee for the morning too! I was in a bunk room and all the other guests were so lovely! We all went on a day trip to Sweden and out for dinner and drinks!

United Kingdom- it’s effectively a giant loud bar used by Danes with some rooms to sleep in for tourists - our bathroom in our 8-bed dorm was filthy on arrival, and on our second night we had no toilet paper and it still hadn’t been cleaned. When we went down to ask if it had been cleaned and if we could get toilet paper, we were told there is a ‘new procedure’ where the rooms aren’t cleaned regularly(????) and that housekeeping wasn’t around so would come the next day. Our toilet was refilled with paper but never cleaned. Bins never emptied. It was like a public toilet. Considering the huge number of guests and rooms, and the insane money they pocket from the bar, the lack of cleaning is a DISGRACE - the restaurant/bar/chill out area is a public bar open to all. Local Danes completely filled it out having reserved all the tables at night and were there pre party. Absolutely could not chill out there or relax after a long day exploring - the restaurant area is filled with arcade games. When you come to chill out/have breakfast (people were reading and working in the morning), groups had come in to play on the exceptionally loud hammer games. People were jumping every time at the loud bang and it was so uncomfortable to sit there in the morning - everything is about making money from that bar. They don’t care about your stay or the cleanliness. They know people will choose it cos it’s central. Don’t bother. Copenhagen is small enough to stay in a cleaner hostel in a different area. Would be very easy to catch bedbugs or pinworms (or any other type of worm infection) here for lack of cleaning and hygiene
- Staff were friendly - Check in and check out were seamless - central location That’s it. Cons massively outweigh this and I would not recommend staying here at all unless you just want a bed, to be central, and a loud bar at night with pre reserved tables by people outside the hostel with nowhere to chill

United KingdomThe only thing, it's difficult to find somewhere to sit in the bar due to reservations from the early evening, but it's a great atmosphere the team have created there & also a good way to mix with locals and other hostel guests :)
The hostel is easy to find & in a great location to walk, or catch the metro, across the city. I arrived early and wasn't able to check in yet, but was able to rent a locker for 4 hours and left my luggage so I could make the most of the day. The room, bathrooms & common areas were clean and comfortable and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. 24 hour reception is always a bonus. The food in the bar downstairs is reasonably priced & lovely. I will definitely be back, I had a great time :)

LatviaEven though I asked a simple request, the staff did everything to not help me instead of using this energy to help me. The bed and linen were dirty. The bathroom, the shower and the sink being separated and sink being in the room next to a bed is very stupid. Also why would anyone think in a bunk bed room, it was a good idea to put light on top of the bed? Also, my room was next to the shared common area where people partied until morning, so there was no sleep for me. I know this can't be helped, and I'm not saying they should go to bed and not have fun but why locate a bedroom next to an area like that?
The location wasn't that good, the street wasn't that safe, but it was good that we could walk to many tourists attractions.

FranceThat the staff was inhospitable, unfriendly. A friend of mine got denied a beer at the bar despite being 24 years old. During my stay, people were eating smelly food in the rooms, others were watching movies with high volume at night.
Not much.

United StatesThis is one of those hostels that has a low nightly rate but charges excessive prices for everything else. There is an additional charge attached to everything, from laundry to luggage storage. The breakfast was pricey and also the lowest quality that we experienced in Denmark. Room was very worn and somewhat dirty. We found a blood-stained sock behind the garbage bin that the housekeeper must've missed.
Ideal location, right near the most touristic areas of Copenhagen. Very friendly staff. Relatively affordable given the city. If you are looking to party, this place is a good spot to stay. The lower level is a large dedicated bar/restaurant that is open late.

TurkeyBeds are smaller than other hostels i dont know how many times i hit my head to get in or get out. İn the photos it looks so much better but in reality its not the same. İn my dorm bathrooms sink was broken. There is no locked cabined in the rooms to put your items if you want to lock it you need to pay extra and but like the the towels and shampoo everything that you need is extra here and it is expensive.Staff here is very slow and not friendly. When i came my bed wasnt even ready i waited them to clean the bed . İn copenhagen transportation is very easy to use so location that doesnt matter that much. .i dont recommend here go to others like sleep in heaven those are much better or just anywhere else not gonna come here again.

TurkeyPlace is a little bit noisy due to pub at floor 1 but it isn’t big disadvantage at all.
Location of the hostel is great. You can reach Rosenborg Palace with a 3 minutes of walk and 10 minutes of walk to the airport metro. The other advantage is place is so lively and sociable for the solo travellers. You can get a fun and meet with local and travellers at floor 1 also place has a night activities for everyday.

GreeceFor the price I paid a lot a double-single room for 4 nights in end of February it was extremely expensive as the rooms were really uncomfortable and small. They are made for hobbits! Also, they saved my credit's card number in case of charging me for ruins but nowhere in booking site was referred to that. Plus, the party at the reception floor was so noisy -in particular on Friday and Saturday night- not allowing you to sleep. Not to mention that there isn't a proper bathroom and when you have a bath the water fills the floor and every inch of the room was immensely dirty. Don't go there!

EstoniaI had booked a place for my wife here as she was travelling solo and needed to stay only for a few hours in the night. When she asked to check in, they asked to store her debit card number through manual entry by themselves, even after having paid for through Booking.com. When she refused to give her card because of security concerns, they threatened to refuse checking her in at 12 mid-night leaving her no other option than to comply. They didn't give her any specific information regarding how long they will save her card details or how she can delete her data from their database. Also likely two staff got access to her card details, which is a massive security risk. Not sure if they have heard about GDPR. Lousy place, with horrendous staff and not clean as well.
Nothing.

GreeceThere was only one elevator taking forever to get it. I talking about waiting 6-7 min almost every time. Arriving at room there was no fridge and no wardrobe. No opening window and the bathroom was like a wet cell. If you were to take a shower water would be everywhere in it, making it unusable for some hours, as there was no way to clean up the mess. Heating in COPENHAGEN wasn’t working properly.

United KingdomThe room was smaller than expected but it sufficed. Pillow too square and soft for me but thats personal preference. Would be nice to have tea making facility but thats an added luxury. Breakfast was lovely but more bread options would be nice and pastries as part of the buffet. No whole meal options.
Location was fantastic, near a station and very central to everything. Room was adequate for our needs and breakfast was lovely. Atmosphere amazing and staff friendly and helpful.
