Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe two disadvantages of the Uvero Alto beach versus Bavaro are the longer trek from the airport and beach pollution from both the resorts and what washes up from elsewhere. A half an hour walk in either direction from Dreams Onyx can easily fill a side able trash bag. It does not help that the resorts allow glassware on the beach which inevitably end up as sand toys at best. The use of room keys instead of resort bracelets has pluses and minutes. On the plus side, this makes status distinctions meaningless—anyone can use the Preferred Club facilities without any issues. On the minus side, you have to carry a room key everywhere. If you are trying to get away from electronics, this is not the resort for you. There are giant screens in the water park and in the lobby and the restaurant menus require QR codes.
The beach is gorgeous with nice waves. If you are coming from the Midwest, the waves may seem rough, but they rarely reach the intensity of Atlantic beaches of say New Jersey or Long Island. The buffet is as good as any in the Caribbean. In particular, the bakery produces an impressive range of goods including whole grain breads, pizza doughs and pastries. My favorite aspect of the buffet was the house cured sushi grade salmon served at breakfast and dinner. The French restaurant is excellent; the Mediterranean is terrible and the rest are mediocre and no match for the buffet—as is typical of all-inclusive resorts. The family accommodations are odd—the triple suites have two beds and no separation between the spaces. The kids club has great facilities but limited activity options. It is closed during lunch and dinner hours which means that the adults can never have a quiet meal by themselves. The staff are very nice, but the activity options are beyond limited—my daughter made 3 bracelets in 6 days and by the 3rd time they were running out of beads. The teen zone is hidden in the kids club and is set up to facilitate solo video game play rather than social interaction. The water park is an afterthought: 2 black enclosed slides and two open white slides one of which was closed over the whole Christmas week.

United StatesThe location was very remote off a dark lit road with too many speed bumps that even when driven slowly could cause damage to most cars or scooters. Trucks or large SUVs would do better over those high speed bumps. My family and I didn't enjoy all the tiny ants living around bathroom sink and kitchenette area near coffee machine. I didn't like how dirty the floors were when we first checked into our room. It wasn't until the following days that housekeeping mopped the dirty floors clean. The toilet room door was stained and needed a good scrubbing. Please scrub the doors and floors clean.
I did like the robes, slippers, beverages, bottled water, fruit, chocolates left in the room for us to enjoy. I enjoyed having room service with no additional charge as it was all-inclusive. Lots of activities available near the pools, tons of food options, great latin and american music and beautiful beach to enjoy.

CanadaEvent planning does not meet expectations. We traveled for a birthday and signed up for the most expensive birthday package. We ended up calling our personal butler multiple times to get a proper birthday cake and some balloons that were promised. One would expect the hotel to do a better job of making people happy for their events.
Beautiful spot with decent facilities like pool and restaurants. The private pool in the room was great and it was close to the main exclusive pool and bar. The service at the pool area and restaurants is good.

ArgentinaThe food at the main cafe and restaurant could be better - at least in other dreams hotels we have visited was better. Some of the other restaurants were excellent, though
Very good facilities. Our Booking concierge, Joel, was excellent, always ready to help, immediate response. The beach personnel was also very good - kudos to Feliciano at the beach bar, and Vida, at the towel station. The personnel at some of the restaurants was not always super friendly (many were very friendly) but they seemed overworked and under a lot of stress. But they were always correct.

United States1.We were not informed about the the "towel rule" over a Breathless and were not treated kind when we asked for towels 2. We only saw and heard from our concierge on the first and last day, he never checked in on us for anything, quite disappointing. 3.Wish they were true pickleball courts to accommodate guests
