we loved the atmosphere of the hostel. it’s very open and familiar, they have dinner and breakfast all together, free coffee and tea all day. multiple bathrooms, very clean. many information about hiking and tours around. highly recommended!

Alcoholic drinks and optional packed lunches were slightly more expensive than expected and than the other hostel we stayed at on the loop one more member of staff would make the service more efficient, though the ones present were extremely helpful and hardworking.

perfect pit stop on the Quilotoa loop, with great food included for dinner and breakfast. Hostel is comfortable and warm, with a good selection of games and communal areas. Added bonus of spa for $5/hour (jacuzzi and sauna). Rooms are basic but functional.

Llullu Llama is the closest to perfection hostel/lodge I have ever been to. This place is truly mind blowing! The architecture alone is great, but its so much more than that. The spacious set-up with multiple common spaces, a reading room, a yoga space and even a whole mini-spa is something I have never seen before in a ‘hostel’. The staff is really helpful, the food is great and the information about hiking and other activities is plentiful. I want a Llullu Llama in every city 😃

Like almost everywhere in Ecuador, it was difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature while showering.

Wow! What a great hostel! I felt so comfortable and cosy. I walked around barefoot everywhere - it was so clean! Also the dinner and the breakfast was so delicious and we got a lot of everything! It was perfect after a long hike and before a long hike! The atmosphere in this hostel was amazing. Met there many nice people to talk with and to continue the hike the next days. Also the people who work there are so nice and helpful AND speak English. So far it was the best hostel I have ever stayed in! Maybe its not the cheapest in Ecuador but it's absolutely worth it.

I did not like the family style dinner, the main course was some kind of casserole. The composite toilet was a little smelly in our room. Breakfast started a little late so if you want to get an early start you have to skip it and coffee:( The jacuzzi and sauna were broken so that was disappointing.

The property it set perfectly on the hillside with amazing views. We had a small view from our room and an amazing view from the dining area. There are huge windows in the dining area which allow you to look over the valley while you enjoy complementary tea or coffee. The rooms had fireplaces which warmed the room nicely and created a nice ambiance. Overall, the views, beautiful wood work, and cute rooms made this stay well worth it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in this area.

Absolutely loved our stay here, we were upgraded to the cabanas which were beautiful! it was such a treat having a log fire. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and plentiful. The whole place felt very luxurious. The spa was amazing after a days hiking. Highly recommend staying here!

Only negative is that some of their PDF information documents are quite out of date so definitely check your bus times in person at the station before you travel.

This place is honestly amazing - we had heard good things about it and certainly weren’t disappointed. I would definitely recommend spending a bit more on a private room with Mountain View, it was such a fantastic place to rest after a day hiking. Great facilities, friendly staff, what more could you want.

Could have more hooks in the rooms and spa to hang wet clothes or towels! otherwise, perfection.

This place is pure magic. We hiked all day in the rain and when we arrived at LL we were able to warm up in the sauna and hot tub, get cozy by the wood burning stoves, and eat delicious meal. It’s beautiful, clean, cozy, and the staff are excellent.

Evening food wasn't the best every. 10$ for the cow milk activity is a bit much, otherwise we would have done it. You can't pour water kn the sauna coals?! Never seen this before and it made it less hot

Never given a 10 before, but this place so deserves it! It is probably the most wonderful place we have stayed in EVER! The relaxation, dining, reading and yoga common areas are luxury. Free tea, coffee and water. The food provided was great. You all dine together and share trail stories and laughs. The room was amazing, stand alone cottage with two balconies. You can have a wonderful powerful hot shower whilst looking out at the mountains. A wood burning stove in the room, very romantic. Staff really friendly, who provide trail and instructions. This was more expensive than anywhere else we have booked in Central & South America, including dinner and breakfast. So worth every penny! This would cost £200+ per night in the UK
