At the happy hour you have to write your name on a paper. Some people misuse that:( so they can put a drink in your name… But the staff is sweet and helpful so no problems, just a stupid way to do it. I miss a chill area after 11 pm

    Superb

I’m afraid for us old fogies, the extremely loud music (especially in the evening) made for a less than pleasant atmosphere

Super-friendly, both staff and volunteers. We felt very welcome

I usually do no stay in big hostels, but I enjoyed the secreted garden. It was clean, despite the big flow of people, including the bathrooms. I stayed in the 12-bed bedroom, a free upgrade from a bigger one. The bed was super comfortable. I liked my lower bed which had curtains (the upper beds did not have them). The room was on the first floor, so the music from the rooftop terrace did not bother me. The rooftop has a beautiful view of the city. It is really nice to hang out there during the day or especially in the evening.

The hostel had everything we needed and had a cool atmosphere. Note that the private rooms were a bit on the small side if you have a lot of luggage for two people, but fine for a night. Only downside was the music coming from the rooftop bar, it was very loud until late at night time, past what the "quiet" hours of the hostel were advertised as - which was annoying when getting up early for tours, it really didn't need to be quite so loud up there as you could hear it on all floors.

Really good sociable hostel in Quito! Beds super comfy with spacious dorms and hot water. Food on the terrace is decent with great views of the city. Friendly staff help you organise everything from Amazon to Cotopaxi. WiFi in the dorms is pretty patchy but in common areas is good enough Location isn’t the best there’s not a lot around

Friendly staff. Easy check-in. I paid for a 16-bed dorm, and they put me in an 8-bed dorm. It was nice and clean. Very comfy bed. Pillow was a little too tall and hard. The rooftop is nice. The food is average. I signed up for the family style dinner, and I thought I was going to sit on a dedicated table with other travelers. Instead, I had to pick up my plate at the bar, and then I had to look for a place to sit. In the end, I had my dinner alone. The whole experience was ruined by listening to loud Regeton the whole time! 😒

We stayed for 2 nights. In the first night we got a very dark room, which smelled not so good and was very noisy. In the second stay we asked to move and it was a big improvement.

Great athmosphere! The staff was very nice and they even booked us a taxi to the airport in 4am for very good price. The rooftop is great and there are many activities the hostel offers. Overall we liked it.

Very nice accomodation, spaciouse and clean dorms, comfy beds - everybody was so nice and respectful! I checked in 4 times!!! Super nice roof top bar where you get 50% discout on drinks and food as a guest. Chill area. Free tea and water. Laundry service, lugguage store, travel agency, sim card service - you get really everything you need and generelly for a good price. I loved it there and would come back anytime!

The hostel is alive for lack of a better description - not a bad thing !! but something to factor in if you don’t want to party/enjoy some quiet zen.

Amazing location, super popular so good for meeting people and travel agency downstairs has everything covered if you need info, taxis etc. Loved the rooftop, just all round good vibes from everyone there!

The bathroom we had on the top floor did not have anywhere to store soap etc. within the shower (this would be a very easy fix!). The shower’s glass door backed straight onto a communal hallway, and whilst the glass was frosted, it definitely puts modesty at risk! (The downstairs bathroom didn’t have these issues). The top floor room had a large damp patch on the ceiling, although I have to admit it didn’t feel damp in the room at all, it was just unsightly. As noted above cleanliness was good - another minor point but there was a couple of marks on the wall in the ground floor room which looked like they were from spills (could be very easily fixed). Given what the hostel has to offer, we found value for money to be good however it was more expensive here for a shared bathroom when comparing to other nearby hostels with private bathroom. Just something to bear in mind if budget is your priority!

Really lively hostel, but the musics off by 11pm so you can actually sleepy! We stayed for 5 nights in a private room with shared bathroom. The first two nights we were on the top floor in a nice light room, and after that we moved to the ground floor - I had needed stitches in my knee and would struggle with the stairs. The staff were so helpful in changing the room! They were attentive and nothing was too much trouble throughout the entire stay. We could get in touch with them very easily by Whatsapp and there was always at least 1 person at reception. It was hard to tell how many people we were sharing a bathroom with, but from the rotas we could see they were checked/cleaned 5 times a day and so 90% of the time they were very clean! Water heat and pressure were also very good (which is not always a given in Quito despite the cold weather!). The rooms themselves had what looked like new beds, with plenty of blankets and plug sockets. The rooftop bar is definitely a highlight - the happy hour drinks were cheap (but not otherwise!) and the view is incredible. Guests can also eat for about $6 in the evening- can’t comment on the food but it looked nice! The snacks and drinks we had from the downstairs cafe were good (not the cheapest). Outside of the hostel itself, it’s easy to arrange excursions with the travel agency at reception, and they have so many options!

Everything was amazing. I think it's one of these places that makes Quito magic. The hostel is its own universe, you can probably love a full life without ever having to live the facility. They have everything that may go from food, to beers, to laundry service, to tour operators, and even sells things you generally need for travelling (sun screens, toothpaste, ...). The network connection is stable, and you can choose among different rooms of the hostel to work.

No free kitchen facility. You can however eat at the restaurant or coffee shop inside the hostel

I think this is the best hostel I've ever visited in my life, and I've been in ~80 countries. It's its own universe. It has a stable WiFi for working, and a lot of different places where you can comfortably work. The evening is a lot of fun since it manages to keep guests inside for evening beers on the rooftops. Everything is super clean, and the beds are very comfortable. I honestly enjoyed the hostel more than the city
