- With somewhere this big, we were surprised there wasn't a dedicated exercise/yoga area that was quiet and out of the way. There are yoga mats, but you can only use them in the main social area with lots of people around. - some innovative storage in the dorms for big bags and clothes would be nice so that things can be stored a bit more out of the way. - The dorm beds were quite nice, but could have been improved with a curtain

- good food. A little pricey and the portions were a little small for a hungry traveller, but it was all very tasty. The breakfasts are quite good value though. - really good value. We stayed here for one night before going to Cotopaxi and the dorm prices are the best around. - really nice hot showers and lots of bathrooms - amazing views of Quito

The perfect hotel for easy travelling. The tours and activities put on are excellent. We went to their sister hostel in Cotopaxi, it's unbelievably beautiful there and super cheap for what it was. The tour guide in Quito also showed us lots of secret places that were amazing.

the location is not the best (as other hotels that are at the center of the historic center) but is very good (10 min walk to the historic center). The street is nicer than other streets of hotels that are closer to the historic center, and has some places and services to enjoy (coffee shops, bars etc)

the atmosphere is great ! a vibrant place with lots of opportunities for interactions with other travellers to exchange ideas and get to know each other. great roof top with nice view of quito. A lot of charging spots - exactly what travellers need ! The travel agency is great ! offers a lot of attractions, some of them for free. basically, you dont have to plan alot beforehand. they will easilly fill you at least 2-3 weeks of trekking and attractions !

All inconveniences like any other hostels, many people, some of them noisy.... but the location was ok

The location is nice, if you have medium expectations. it did not cost much, so I am glad i chose them I also took the bus (11 hours!) to Cuyabeno reserve, from the front of the building.

The best hostel ever. Superconfortable bed in shared dormitory. Silent shared dormitory with redpectfull people. Good system of half price in restaurant. Nice view and so many places to rest.

Lovely hostel located in very good area. Staff are very friendly. Speak good Enlgish. Clean facilities and comfortable bed (stayed in the private room with shared bathroom). Laundry service in site quick, cheap and easy. Rooftop terrace has beautiful view of the city. Bar and restaurant very yummy and cheap. Half price off for all hostel guests (its open to the general public). The party bus was much fun and meant we had a fun night out which was safe. Wifi is quick. Travel agency at front door to book all the trips you want to do. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly. I actually have nothing bad to say about this hostel its probably the best I have stayed in.

I had a room with no window and the smell of the cleaning supplies was very intense - it didn’t ever really go away and ended up changing rooms because it was making me light-headed, which the staff was really nice about.

It is a beautiful open-air space and the rooftop with the view is unreal. The rooms have enough space to put your things and outlets attached to the bed which is really nice. The staff is super helpful and friendly - I ended up staying an extra night and that was no problem for them to accommodate. They promote a lot of tours and day trips so you will always be something to do if you didn’t do much planning. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Secret Garden Quito really feels like a home in Ecuador, I keep coming back to this place again and again... This is already my 4th time staying here and it feels great to be back every single time! The staff really feels like friends, special shoutout to Steven, Isaac, Adrian, Nicolas, etc.! I am missing other people as I'm really bad with names, but everyone here is so friendly and welcoming! Also I love how clean, comfortable, cheap, 50% on all food and drinks, etc. The value for the money is unbeatable! I also stayed at Secret Garden Cotopaxi and honestly both Secret Gardens have been among the most beautiful hostels I've stayed in my 1+ year of travelling in South America!
