It's noisy, but I think everywhere in Cairo is the same. WiFi is very very slow. Don't expect too much for the room. The elevator was not quite reliable.

It's okay for the price. Location is good and convenient.

The breakfast was great, people at the hostel were very nice, shoutout to Maya, she was amazing!

The staff members were often smoking and chatting on the sofas in the reception area, but it felt intimidating, so I thought it would be better to change that.Also, the location of the hotel was difficult to find.

It is a renewed kind of hostel in a very old cracky building. You feel strange when you get there, but inside it is very good

What I don’t like about the property is that when we plan our tour with them they weren’t honest enough about the cost and what it included. I wasn’t happy about it. But for the rest the stuff were great.

I’m not really into cats and there were lots of cats on the stairs and around. However, they were restricted from disturbing guests. So, it was not so bad.

The bed was really soft and comfortable with nice wall painting.

1. It was very small room, max 10 sqm, however it was mentioned 25 2. Facilities are very very bad. Awful 3. Try to avoid Egypt, but if you are going to visit anyway, please choose real stars, chain hotels I don’t know how it has rate more than 8, i would say 4 is a maximum. Also you will be charged additional 5% if you pay by card

The hotel is very noisy and not well furnished. The bed was noisy - the blanket was dirty, the towels were ripped and belonged to a hospital in the past (it was embroidered on it). For breakfast it was an extra oily one egg omelet per person And my child had to share my plate 🍽️ the first day. I don't know how this hotel was graded as the reviews really didn't reveal the reality of this place.the lady at the reception during the day was ALWAYS on her phone telling me she is with her boss...if this is the caSe her boss should let her work. Would not recommend this place -even for free.

What I absolutely loved about Abdeen Cairo Hostel is how it perfectly combines comfort, cleanliness, and convenience. The common areas are thoughtfully designed, offering a great space to relax or chat with fellow travelers. The location is another major highlight—situated in the heart of Cairo, it’s close to iconic landmarks, shops, and restaurants, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. Despite being so central, the hostel feels peaceful and secure, which was a huge plus. One of my favorite features was the small but lovely touches, like the fresh breakfast each morning and the welcoming atmosphere throughout the property. It’s clear the team takes pride in creating a comfortable and memorable experience for every guest. And of course, I have to mention Abdullah, who made my stay unforgettable with his warm hospitality and attention to detail. It’s properties like this that make traveling so enjoyable!

Nice hotel, good room, and breakfast well organized. The people are so friendly! Especially Basmala at the reception. Basmala gives Advice, is willing to help with everything, and makes you feel very welcome! A quarter of what she does is already enough to make you feel welcome.
