Fabulous location on the east coast of Elaphantime Island. Very warm welcome and friendly staff. Authentic and comfortable guest house. Spacious and clean room and excellent Nubian breakfast and amazing views from the terrace. Hard to beat for an authentic stay in Aswan.

Great little hotel right on the waterfront. Good clean room with balcony overlooking the Nile. Clean and tidy, great value for money. The regular ferry to Aswan only a few steps away. Wish we had stayed longer.

It was cold in the night as there is no heating, the shower is not separated from the toilets.

Since it is in an island, every time we need to transfer to mainland by ferry with cost. Property has no free facility, one time transferred in the early morning due to Abu Simbel tour but was chargeable.

The location is on the river Nile in the Elephantine Island, all room were cozy spacious and comfortable. Staffs were very helpful, looks like family running property. Breakfast was good, got welcome drink which was excellent. It was a happy stay and good experience. From balcony you can enjoy Nile and its wonderful scenery, sitting arrangement is also good at the bank of the river.

We loved absolutely everything about this place!!! The rooms were charming and the view was stunning. Everything was clean and well taken care of, and the staff was extremely helpful at all times. We hired a boat private tour to the Nubian village directly with the hotel and it was delightful. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, and you can eat it at the rooftop with a stunning view of the Nile. Could not recommend it enough!

It's written that the rooms are soundproofed but they are not at all, you even see thru the door. The room is a bit expensive for it's qualitý.

The room had a very nice view and the day staff was really friendly. Also the hotel came to pick us to the other side of the river with their private boat in the night very late.

We arrived late in evening,and they waited for us on airport,what was really helpful.Short ride on the boat and we arrived.It is located right on the river Nile,with beautiful views..Staying here was so relaxing and peaceful,food was excellent with amazing breakfast and really good coffee.Just few steps from the 2 really good restaurants,and ferry. Amazing experience filled with Egyptian cuisine and culture.. We will be back 😊❤️

The staff here worked very hard to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. The location is also excellent, since it's on Elephantine Island, quiet by comparison to Aswan. The free shuttle boat was very convenient, especially when arriving late at night. The staff were able to arrange an excursion for us, a very relaxing boat ride around the island and to the Nubian village. The breakfast patio on the rooftop was a very pleasant way to start the day.

The property is on Elephantine Island and made accessible by the owner through transport on their private boat. On arrival we were collected by taxi and then transported by boat to the hotel. Unfortunately on departure the owner sent us a text to take the public ferry back. This is very difficult because the path to the ferry is dirt and sand and manure and there are very steep steps down to the crowded ferry and back up on the other side. As two seniors this was daunting for us. Fortunately when we explained this the owner relented and we had the boat ride back. If you are going to stay at this hotel I suggest you negotiate the return boat ride before booking to prevent stress and inconvenience.

I had a wonderful stay at Airkela Nuba Dool 2. It is run by amazing people and this is what I appreciated most, after even having seen wonderful temples of Abu Simbel, Philae, Unfinished Obelisk, and the Nubian Village. We felt like we were at home. People there are super helpful 24/7, warm, kind and nice. One of the best hotels I have ever been to. You won’t feel like you are tired after you come back from a day trip to Abu Simbel or Philae. Just an amazing place!!! Can’t describe how comfy I felt there. You feel like you are dreaming while being at Airkela located on the Elephantine island - in the middle of the Nile river and the most stunning part of the town of Aswan. The host organised everything for us after we asked him to help us with trips to several temples and sites near Aswan. You can even request a tour to Abu Simbel and all the stuff is organised for you swiftly just hop on the car with super nice drivers. I am still processing how amazing it was to stay at Aswan. The rooms are exquisitely beautiful, furnished with Nubian styled colourful furniture and have beautiful views over the Nile. You will find yourself in some fairy tail. We could not believe that we were staying in such a fantastic place. My friends and I arrived at midnight and the host organised a car for us which brought us to the hotel. The hotel is on the island as I mentioned above and to go to the bank in Aswan one has to take a super cute boat which functions every 15 minutes and takes 2-3 minutes to go to the other side of the Nile. The hotel also has a boat which you can ask to rent and the employees will take you on the tour on the Nile and to the majestic Nubian village to buy some local yummies and spices as well as locally made souvenirs. Airkela is a true paradise for holidaymakers! I 100% recommend this place! Cheers to its owners and people who work there! I miss you!

My only complaint is the bathroom. The shower has no separation from the toilet, so water goes everywhere. The toilet was also leaking a bit, leaving a bad smell. If this is fixed, this place deserves a perfect score.

Well located in Elephantine island. Breakfast was really good. Price was very low for everything that was offered. The owner is such a great man, we had a very good time. The tours we booked with him were also fantastic!

The location was exceptional and our rooms were spacious. Our host was amazing, giving us a free drink on arrival and giving recommendations for superb food. The roof top had beautiful views of Aswan and the Nile. All the staff were super friendly and helpful making our stay amazing.
