Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. RomaniaUnfortunately there are some construction projects going on the hotel street but that’s something that Barcelo hotel definitely cannot be held accountable for.
Lets start with the fact that every person working there likes to welcome you with a smile and you can see that they really do their best to make sure you enjoy every second in the Barcelo Hotel. Big shout out to Iman that provided me a room upgrade ( free of charge) and also because during my staying it happened to be my birthday and she, together with her colleagues, made sure to mark the moment with an amazing cake! Very lovely gesture! Overall, hotel is very clean, room that I got was really nice and spacious. Variety of restaurants in the hotel and a swimming pool area thats also very clean and which I have enjoyed a lot! Wellness area available, open for the entire day - definitely a must! Thanks Barcelo Hotel and the entire staff!

We forgot to book one night, we asked for it, and suddenly it was super expensive. Disliked. Personal from the restaurant were nice, not from the reception.

SwitzerlandThe building felt very tired. My bathroom was well worn. I asked for a taxi to Pyramids and was quoted 25USD. The pyramids are about 7kms away and down a straight road. My taxi from airport to hotel -42kms was 25USD and traveled the heart of Cairo. I walked it. I stopped off at the Marriott in Giza for a beer and got a taxi from there back to Barcelo for 10 dollars
a mixed bag of standards. Reception was pleasant and very helpful. In first night rooftop terrace bar and restaurant was superb, attentive and prompt. Second night Slow slow slow service. Room comfortable, quiet and floor staff were professional and good. Breakfast chef who cooked my omelette-brilliant. Rest of breakfast non descript.

The breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of European and Egyptian food. It had the best falafel I have ever tasted. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.

United KingdomLinen had blood stain, not cleaned properly. Had a party going on 2 floors below my room at 11pm. The bass in my room was unbearable. Location is close to the pyramids, but the main road is under construction so taxi was a chore to get. Very dusty and dirty due to construction, approx 40mins by car to get to downtown.

United Arab EmiratesThe bedrooms were very dated and the whole building was very poorly lit. Staff were inconsistent. In particular the customer liaison manager seemed more interested in her phone than actually leasing with anyone.
The lobby and the pool area were the best areas. The breakfast was good but very busy so choosing what time to go if you can will help. The tour operator was very helpful and his team especially Ahmed was excellent.
