Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaTo be objective, I will also mention the disadvantages: 1) Dear Egyptians, why do you make an air conditioner right above the bed? Why can't it be placed over the front door? So that the icy air does not blow on the heads of your guests all night, which makes people catch a cold. If possible, move it so that it does not blow on the bed with the sleeping person. Or at least to feet. But not on the head, throat and chest. It is impossible for us, residents of the Nordic countries, without an air conditioner - but even at the warmest temperature at night, it still "blows through" us. This is the main disadvantage. And this is a minus of almost all Egyptian hotels. Those hotels where the air conditioner was not blowing on the bed are 10 stars in my rating. 2) Food. There are no questions for breakfast. For Egypt, it will do. Although, at a price of $ 50 per night in the "9 pyramids view", it is much more diverse and tastier. But forgive you for the incredible view.)) Although, this hotel also has a good view. Just a little bit of inexpensive fruits - a banana, orange, pear or apple will decorate the impression. As well as the opportunity to choose between fried eggs and boiled eggs.)) But dinner-something has to be done here. The price is quite (very high for Egypt), and the food... It doesn't taste good. Excuse me. In fact, wherever we ate all month, it was much cheaper (several times!) and much tastier. In any hotel. Again, in the "9 pyramids view". In Luxor. In Assouan. In Hurghada. Even at Bob Marley's little cafe on Elephantine. Even on a Nile cruise ship. If you will be delicious ones - and not at the same price as now (at an exorbitant price and with some stupid % in the receipt, which I have not seen anywhere else), but 2-2.5 times cheaper, this will be the best hotel in Cairo.))
As promised in October, I am writing a review, having traveled all over Egypt in 1 month and studied the darkness of hotels from hostels for $ 3 in Assouan to the Hilton for $ 180 (the former Nile Grand Tower with a good rotating restaurant). So, this hotel is very, very good for Egyptian realities, which I note: 1. The best view of the pyramids and the Sphinx. Just the best of the best of all. Full-length panoramic windows - and you don't even have to get out of bed to enjoy the main famous landmark of Cairo. 2. The room is quite clean, neat and stylish. 3. The hotel is very small - so no problems with noise from neighbors. 4. The street itself is not noisy at night, including normal sleep. 5. The roof terrace is also a plus - and the view is direct, not "from the side around the corner". 6. The price is quite adequate for hotels in the area. 7. It's damn convenient to tell taxi drivers where to go - because many of them, even with Google maps, are unable to figure out where to go, and manage to wander around their hometown. Here you just tell them "go to the sphinx" or even one Arabic word "abulkhol" - and they bring you right to the hotel. 8. Responsiveness of the staff - a special personal thank you: - without any problems, we took things for free before the time of check-in - and put them in a small storage room. - we were allowed to stay for free until 18:00 (instead of 13:00), because our plane was late in the evening. - when the damn ATM of the neighboring Misr bank ate my $50, a hotel employee (who worked in the evenings) went with us to the ATM, called the bank and tried in every possible way to help us. In general, he is a very responsive person, for which I would like to thank him. - a Russian-speaking employee was present in the morning - who was also friendly. - the bartender, seeing that we have been eating scrambled eggs for breakfast for 3 days, suggested cooking us something else - falafel or something else.

United Arab Emirates- this doesn’t personally applies to me but if you’re a light sleeper noise from the outside could be bothersome from tour bus , cars or people fighting in the ticket entrance - camel or horse poo smell as soon as you get out.
Travelled to Egypt for a quick last minute trip. - amazing view literally facing the sphinx and unobstructed view of the pyramids - location was right opposite the sphinx entrance. Gift shops , Pizza Hut and kfc right next to the hotel( if you want something familiar to your taste buds) . Also it’s easy to locate for Ubers or tour pick ups - pleasantly surprised how cold the AC is -hotel staff are accommodating to request and tours can be arranged directly with them . Felt really safe as a female solo traveler. -breakfast could have been better though

United Arab EmiratesThe staff they were kind but they are trying to force you to get their tour packages and the prices are very high! Also we were celebrating a friend birthday during our stay, and we requested a small cake to surprise him. but they wanted to charge us 40$ (which we refused to pay) just bcz the small cake, happy bday songs and decoration (even when we brought it) so very unexpected and uncomfortable experience specially bcz they never mentioned any price. Later they apologize and gave a present to our friend! Finally we paid only 10$. A kindly suggestion to staff/ management: Don’t focus on money only or Don't just look at us as an ATM object but focus on the guest experience and to deliver clear information. so the people gonna be more than ready to pay.
The view was the best

Australianot sound proof rooms, I could hear the noise from outside, couldn’t sleep well as it was just noisy (people, horses/cars, etc.).. The door knob of my room was loose & had a hard time locking/unlocking it, it needs repair. Also, no lift/elevator & place is small but staff helped me carry my luggage which I’m grateful for.
The location is the best feature of this property! My room was facing the sphynx & the pyramids, very much delighted because of it. Staff & Drivers were nice & they helped me get a tour on the day despite no prior booking, and it was at a reasonable price compared to the commercial tours.

United KingdomI had a great stay at this hotel. The location and rooftop terrace is incredible, absolutely breathtaking to wake up every morning and see the pyramids and sphinx. My stay at the hotel was made even better by the friendly and welcoming staff. Sultan and Attam went above and beyond to help me with local knowledge and language, places to eat and excursions and were always available if I needed anything. They made me feel very welcome and kind. The staff helped make my stay wonderful. I recommend staying here for your visit to Cairo.
