How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

I liked the location, the staffs who were kind and accommodating, and hotel was calm as well. Totally, it really worth the price, because in down town it is expensive.

The Inn is in the heart of the bustling downtown of Cairo, where all the shops, restaurants and cafes are, so everything is in walking distance. The Inn is in the 6th floor so you wont be disturbed by the noise of the city nightlife. All members of the staff were very friendly and professional and mr. Ibrahim, the owner, helped us with all our additional requests without delays, any time of the day. Breakfast was included in the price so thats a bonus. The Inn offered fair prices for the additional available services, such as guided tours or pick-ups and drop-offs, without any hidden costs. Recommended to anyone who is looking for a value-for-money stay in Cairo and a unique, authentic experience.

The room had been recently renovated, which was nice, but this would have benefited from a bit more attention to detail! (A cleaner rug and the panelling on the wall being better fitted for example, but to be expected given price. Good value for money.)
Super friendly staff, great breakfast and good location. We would definitely stay again and recommend it. The staff were what made it, very welcoming and always offering tea! The breakfast had an omelette, tomatoes, tasty fig jam and plenty of bread plus a coffee/tea. The staff kindly stored our bags for us at the end of our stay before our evening flight.

I didn't realise it was a shared bathroom, so that wouldn't be my preference. But it's good if you are on a budget.
It's in a prime location and you can walk to several landmarks. The area is very busy, and you have plenty of choices for anything you want. The staff is very polite and helpful. Adam helped organise a few trips and airport drop-off. It was nice to have someone who you can rely on in a foreign country.

A descent place to stay especially if you are on a tight budget and you are not looking for something extravagant. Great value for money. Good breakfast and Located in the heart of Cairo's city centre. Extra plus the very friendly staff always ready to help us. Lovely stay overall !

The hotel's position is optimal to visit the city and the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Every person of the staff we met was really friendly and helpful. We had the possibility to leave our luggage before and after the check-in which was great to visit the city without carrying all our bags. The bed was comfy and clean room. I really recommend this hotel!

The personnel was very nice and doing their best to make my stay pleasant. I arrived at 7am and the stuff was nice enought to give me a room before my check in time so that I could rest. I felt very safe in the hotel. Also it is located right in the centrum of Cairo which was very convenient. The pictures of the rooms are accurate and for a budget stay I was satisfied. I had a room with private bathroom and a balcony.

Entry to property is a bit unattractive with an old, but serviceable elevator
As many budget properties the outer buildings and interiors are dated. Get pass this and you will find everything you need, clean, comfy bed, refrigerator, strong WIFI, modest but manageable bathroom, hot water and a very helpful and friendly staff. All at super budget pricing.!You get what you pay for...in this case, more.

Shower stream is a bit too light and since shower and toilet are at the same place, it gets wet and a bit messy.
You will feel really welcome. The staffs tries their best to make you feel like home. It was clean, silent and in a very nice area.
