Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryOur room was not deluxe. It was in the second old building and was old, it needs renovation.
The hotel is very close to pyramids and the sphinx. You can see the night show directly from your room or the roof. The manager was very polite and helpful.

Czech RepublicBreakfast was rather limited and a strange combination of foods, but when we asked for different stuff, the staff tried to do their best to satisfy our request.
Amazing location, view of the pyramids from the rooftop. Great, friendly, flexible staff who were always ready to help with anything we needed and who arranged us tours of Cairo and Giza. We had an outstanding guide called Nasr Bedaif Hamed. The hotel provides a complimentary pick-up from the airport, which is 50 min away!

Saudi Arabia-Giza itself is limiting for families with young kids beyond the obvious. This is not the fault of the hotel but it is something to consider for families booking in the city.
+Location and views are incredible, watch the light show from here. Not hotels fault but light show was disappointing +Mohamed and the team were excellent in communication and adjusting bookings. tours offered were fair price and worth every pound! +Restaurant food was significantly better than expected +Be patient with breakfast, no menu but staff will bring offerings to table. just make sure to order your coffee as you sit down

SpainFrom the check in to my check out it was perfect. As a first time solo traveller I was alitte anxious how my trip would go but I got picked up right on time and even though check in is at 2pm I was allowed to take a quick shower and leave for a tour I had scheduled early in the morning and when i got back my bags were in my room.I felt 5he Egyptian hospitality and total warmth.I constantly got asked by the receptionist I really wish I reme3his name because he was the best.He got me coffee, fruit juices.I felt so safe and this is coming from a solo female traveller. The views of the pyramids from my room were exeptional. My room was constantly clean.Even the food at the restaurant was affordable unlike so many places that take advantage of tourists. On the last day,I really wanted a photo from my balcony with the pyramids in the background and so embarrassed I asked for help from the reception and he immediately sent help. All in all wonderful stay.I 100percent recommend and Id definitely without hesitation book again

United KingdomThis is by no means the hotels fault but as it’s located on a very touristy place there were many horses outside so there was a smell and it gets noisy early!
Our room overlooked the pyramids. Included breakfast was quite big and varied, and it’s served at the terrace so it overlooks the pyramids too. The staff was very friendly and helpful and watched our bags while we were shopping on our last day. You can partially see and hear the Sound and Light show from the terrace so that was a very nice addition to our last day in Cairo.

United KingdomThe restaurant (with excellent roof-top view over the pyramids) basically ignored us when we went for dinner. We were there during Ramadan and they were busy serving the Iftar (fast-breaking evening meal) to a large group. We would have totally understood, therefore, if they had simply said "sir/madam, please sit here and have some bread and we can get you a drink, and then once the Iftar has been served to this large group we will take your food order." Given that the other guests had been fasting all day they clearly needed to eat first, so we would have had no problem with that. However, this never happened. They literally ignored us. After 30 minutes had passed with no-one saying anything to us, giving us anything or taking any kind of order, even just for a drink we left. Egyptians and Arabs are renowned for their hospitality, but to completely ignore hotel guests in their own hotel restaurant for a whole 30 minutes is a shamefully low standard of hospitality. When I saw the manager later I tried to complain about this but he just brushed it off. Otherwise we had a lovely stay at this excellently located place. They just need to work on the customer service skills of their restaurant staff, especially as every other hotel or restaurant we used in Egypt, also during Ramadan, still managed to handle large groups eating their Iftar without ignoring their foreign guests.
The location of this hotel is incredible. Literally opposite the pyramids and the Sphinx and so close that you can see and hear the nightly pyramid sound and light show in your pyjamas from the balcony - especially useful if you have small children for whom it is too late to be out and about with them. We had a large family room which was comfortable, practical and affordable. The manager, Hani was quite friendly and helpful with arranging a vehicle for onward travel, offering tours etc. There was plenty of food included in the breakfast.

OMG!We have booked a big family room with the pyramids view, most expensive and when we checked in,they said they have to split us in 2 rooms, one of them without windows! We were so upset,so they found a room with windows. We didn't sleep all night even for a second,so loud outside, not good isolation and you can hear the neighbours. The room was not that clean,I found hairs. From the room we couldn't see the Sphinx, just the pyramids. For dinner we decided to go on the top of the roof to watch the sound and lights show and there was people cutting wood, drilling and fixing the wooden frame over the tables, people eating, dust everywhere!!!I was sooo disappointed.Firstly they messed up our room and then during our meal, someone working with ladders, saw chain between the tables!!!!I had to speak with them and luckily they stopped so we managed to watch the pyramids show.I don't recommend this place, avoid!!!

United KingdomThe area was very run down and felt unsafe. The hotel itself also felt rundown, room doors were not very stable and the bathrooms were grubby. The bedsheets had Joel’s torn in them and stains. The food was not the best and breakfast was a set platter so not ideal for picky eaters.
The property was on the doorstep of the great pyramids and so made for a fantastic breakfast view. It was walking distance for our guided tour! The staff were very helpful and welcoming!

BrazilI sent a request for early check-in and the hotel responded with an ok answer and no extra fee, but when my group and I arrived at the hotel to check in, the receptionist charged me US$50. I showed him the confirmation from the Booking chat saying there would be no extra fee, but he ignored it and said that if we didn't pay, we would have to leave the hotel (this was 2am). He was extremely rude to us. Then the hotel also wanted to charge me for an extra bed that I also had proof that there would be no extra fee. They put me in a room that wasn't mine on the first night, and when I finally went to the right room they took a long time to give it to me. I was extremely upset and complained, and at that moment the receptionist started yelling at me in front of my son who was very scared. I asked to speak to the Manager, but he was never there. Terrible service. Terrible reception staff. Terrible commitment. They are trying to take our money at all times.
The view of the Pyramids is nice. The staff at the rooftop restaurant are great.

BrazilThis hotel is great! You get to see the magical light and sound show at night. Breakfast is quite good also. Rooms are clean and ok. Internet in the rooftop is very good, elsewhere in the hotel not so much. The theming is of ancient Egypt, so it looks a bit weird, but nothing that disturbing.

United StatesThey did not pick us up from the airport and the reason was because the driver overslept, when we got to our room, it was very dirty. The towels were a brownish white color like they had already been used. The walls had stains on them, the linen on the beds were dirty looking and had plenty of lent balls on them. The rooftop is dirty and is not a place you would want to eat at. The hotel look nothing like the pictures on the website. We did not stay there, we checked out and stayed at another hotel.
The staff was welcoming and were nice when we arrived.

EcuadorAWFUL!!! The worst hotel ever! Please never go there!!!! They are always used to overbooking rooms so don't be doubt that you will arrive and the room you booked will be not available and they will take you to a lower class hotel, dirty, stinky, old and dangerous! In addition, this hotel charges you in advance and since you have already paid, you have no other option than to accept the theft they commit against you. The manager is a rude and ill-mannered guy who, instead of giving you a solution, treats you badly. Please never go there, they are scammers.

United StatesWe didn't like leaving. This stop was the highlight of our visit.
We are a family of 4, both kids are young adults. This location is perfectly placed for a visit to the pyramids. We had a family room, #109, with a wonderful view of the pyramids and partial view of the Sphinx because of the trees. The roof top area of the hotel is perfect for breakfast with the pyramids or to view the Sound and Light Show at night for free. We were fortunate to have Ali Baba serve us for breakfast each day and he was able to reserve us a table along the front for dinner and the light show. Thank you Ali Baba for the attention to detail to make our stay extra special. Hopefully the gift of the American flag glass magnet will remind you of our visit.
