Gym is in bad shape. I was missing presentations on the ship also about Egypt, e.g. Toshka Project, Economic and Politcal Situation etc.

    Breakfast was good

The walls were thin and I could hear neighbors if they spoke loudly. Be aware that there will be zero internet or cell reception for about 36 hours as part of the cruise is so remote. I was the very first booking.com customer to go on this cruise. I had paid in full when I made my reservation. However, the Egyptian agent for booking.com didn't transfer the funds to Movenpick in a timely manner. My first hour on board was spent trying to sort this out. The fault was not Movenpick but on booking.com. Hopefully this is working better, but come prepared with proof of payment. Finally seating in the dining room is done in a very old fashioned, traditional way. People are seated at tables with other people from their "travel agency." Since I was traveling alone and was the only guest from booking.com, I was seated alone at a table for every meal. Movenpick really should reconsider how this is done.

Impeccable service! The dining room is professionally run, my room was cleaned 2x a day but I never saw the room steward! Front desk knew my name after the first day. This is a gorgeous older, wooden boat which is beautifully maintained. Think shining decks and polished metal accents. It was a joy to travel on a piece of history. The food was delicious and every day had a different menu....all was top notch. The price includes a guide, transportation to sites, and entrance fees. Since I was a solo traveler, I was put with a group of 12 English tourists for the shore excursions. Our guide spoke excellent English and was interesting and knowledgeable. Abu Simbel is jaw dropping. It exceeded my expectations. The one excursion not included in the cruise price is the evening sound and light show at Abu Simbel. Don't skip it. It is unlike any of the other sound and light shows I saw in Egypt. FABULOUS. I loved watching the stars at night while we were anchored in remote locations. There was plenty of downtime each day to read, sunbathe or take a nap. Security is taken very seriously and since portions of this cruise are in remote desert areas, there are 3 armed security guards. One accompanies each excursion. I could imagine Agatha Christie cruising on the Prince Abbas. I can't speak highly enough of this cruise.
