Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PeruThe view was amazing and the staff very friendly. We received a free upgrade to a room with a view of the pyramids. We couldn't enjoy the breakfast but the staff kindly made us a breakfast box at 5:30 am when we left. The room was big and clean! And the bed super comfortable. They even gave us some free snacks and tons of water was left in the fridge for us. We didn't take any of the tours but they do offer quite a bit of excursions in Giza and in the Cairo area.

ThailandThe only downside is that on your first night, they go a bit hard-sell on the tours up in the restaurant. Their 1-day tour is something like $160+, which is ridiculously expensive. They came down in price a bit and so I booked a tour...which was pretty good -- my guide actually knew how to read hieroglyphics, which was helpful as I'm interested in that. But I was told there would be a lunch at a '5 star hotel'...which ended up being "We can buy sandwiches if you're hungry"...so the tour is pretty basic and ended up only being about 4.5 hours in total. To be fair, when I brought up the lunch thing to the hotel, they fed me literally the entire night for free lol But between the cost and tips for the guide and driver ($25 total), it's 100% for sure you can get a way cheaper deal on Viator or some other tour site. They all go to the same places anyway. I didn't care so much about how much I spent as I just wanted the easiest path to get things organized as I had limited time before flying to Aswan. But if you have time, you can save a bunch by finding your own tour elsewhere. Other than this, everything regarding my stay was excellent.
Fantastic place to stay. The staff are lovely people, the room was super brightly lit, the bathroom was great, and they give you as much free water and snacks as you need. I didn't take many snacks, but it was nice to know you have them if you get snacky at night. If you stay, be sure to book a room that is facing the pyramids. Wow. It's just amazing to sit on the balcony and see that right in front of you (I was on the 3rd floor...not sure of the view on the floors below). But even if the room has no view, sitting up on the roof, which is what I did for hours every day, is amazing. The food in the restaurant is great. HUGE amounts of food for breakfast and if you order a main course at dinner. I was traveling alone, so I actually had to tell them to just bring me a few things for breakfast as I didn't want to waste any food -- but if you're a big eater, you'll love it. The restaurant staff are suuuuuper nice and attentive. Same for the reception staff. I felt welcome everywhere I went. Regarding the location...it's just perfect. It's in a side area off of a street where the police and a few other cars park that serves as the exit to the Pyramids in the day. The side entrance is about 100m up the road (the entrance very close to the Sphinx). So if your goal is to explore the Pyramids, this hotel is about as close as you can get. This area is not a main traffic area, so there's not really any road noise. But as many people have pointed out, there are a billion stray dogs there that bark all the time. So bring ear plugs for sure. But it's Cairo...so no matter where you stay, you're likely to face issues with noise.

ThailandThere is no elevator in building. But most small hotels in Egypt dont have elevators.
Amazing service from all the staff. I knew all the staff by their names. They were always asking how are you, is everything ok, always wanting to help and please. Hassan in the breakfast room was so great to see everyday. Very friendly and always wanting to have a chat and help out . Moses in reception, was always ready to help with any issues, always wanting to make sure all was ok. Even went out to buy me tickets to the pyramids though the locals entrance. Room was good size and very comfortable, good hot shower and internet, and opposite the Sphinx, restaurant meals were great, and so handy to have each night after a big day out touring. Roof top restaurant, with amazing views over the Pyramids and Sphinx. 3star hotel with a 5 star service. Also a free pick up from airport offered.

CanadaI've stayed in two hotels in the same area. The two hotels both offer pyramids view, but I like this hotel better than the other. The people are friendly and helpful. Moses is the best and "powerful", he helped us a lot. The breakfast it the best. Hassam prepared and served the food for us every morning. The food was very delicious and tasty.

United KingdomI have nothing negative to say of our experience, but there was no lift that I could see, so people with mobility issues might struggle (we didn't ask about it though, so it's possible there's one hidden away somewhere)
Excellent hotel! Very friendly staff, who were incredibly welcoming. Ola, Ali, and Faroud stuck out to us, particularly going out of their way to make our time in Egypt enjoyable. There were snacks for us in the room, help with bags, and a welcome drink waiting for us on the roof with a fantastic view. We spoke next to no arabic and didn't struggle - the English level was good, and Faroud also spoke Japanese! Would definitely recommend staying here :)

Australialocation was incredible! rooftop bar looks right out over pyramids - really! dinner and breakfast overlooking pyramids was surreal! locations did mean quite noisy at night - but it was worth it, and that’s half the fun of travel! staff very attentive and nothing was too much trouble at all. hotel organised our drivers who were great, and also free pick up from airport if staying 2+ nights was a nice bonus, especially if just arriving in Egypt and had yet to work out taxi bartering system!
