Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThis was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I booked for two nights but regretted it immediately. After just one night, I started searching for another hotel because every other option looked better. The host, Osama, was incredibly rude, arguing with me at 5 a.m. after I’d traveled for 11 hours. He even made inappropriate comments, which made my stay even more uncomfortable. The room was tiny, with a rock-hard bed and ceiling lights that stayed on all night. The shower barely drained and the water pressure was awful. The “Mountain View” was a joke—just a tiny window with nothing to see. I had to ask for towels, toilet paper, and a bottle of water; after traveling for 11 hours, this shouldn’t be expected. The rooftop view? Completely ruined by garbage, infront of the pyramids. The garbage is not in Pyramids area, but just next to hotel. The hotel is garbage and thats why its there! The view from other hotels is much better and you won't see any garbage! Save yourself the trouble—don’t stay here!
Nothing was good. Everything was worse from hotel to service

TurkeyThere was no reception, just a table at the final floor. There are many visitors gave a good review for this place. Ok. I can only say that just go there check the room then book the room. Otherwise it’s quiet risky.
I would like to thank them to upgrade my room regarding to my request for 10$ extra payment.

United KingdomOn this occasion, there was some unavoidable building work going on. It wasn't a major problem and will improve the hotel with a new hight terrace being built. We had booked an airport pickup but this failed to turn up. We then paid for an expensive taxi. Luckily, a local Egyptian man helped us negotiate down the original asking price.
The location with a fantastic terrace with a front row view of the Pyramids. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was freshly prepared and very tasty.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaThe shared bathroom in a deluxe single room, it did not cross my mind to check (my mistake), the bathroom with a bathtub with a missing piece so it is not possible to take a bath only a shower The staff nowhere to be found at times, the overpriced restaurant (which does not seem to exist but I suspect is take away from a cheap place nearby) That sandwich in foil was 5 dollars.
The amazing view from the terrace upstairs of the pyramids, as close as it gets, and also from my room balconey. The comfy bed. The nice woman preparing and serving breakfast

United KingdomThe description said private bathroom however this was outside the room and with no key so anyone could just go. In fact someone nock the door while I was in. At the same time this was not very clean nor equipped. Toilet paper run out very quickly, I have asked for some more but it never arrived. We found a cigarette in the toilet which was a disgusting and again a sign that it is not private. For one night is ok as the view is amazing but I did not dare to shower.
Great view and location The staff was really nice specially mustafa They have a very over priced bar/restaurant which is worth it for the view

ItalyDirty and broken, the room door does not open, a Mexican was locked in his room, I helped him, I speak Spanish, I calmed him down so he could open his door.
I was in Egypt for 29 days and the last week in Giza, the hotel is too expensive for a lousy quality and service, all dirty and the doors broken, the only thing is the view from the terrace but the food prices are very expensive, they charge you in dollars or euros, the owners give you the room they have free, not the one you paid for in the photo, it's not the same, you share the bathroom with other rooms, if you want the room in the photos, they yell at you and charge you €100 more to change you,... my solution I changed the cheapest and best quality hotel to 1 street and in front of the pyramids!

United KingdomRoom was, although spacious, very dark with only a very small window. Mattress very poor and could feel the springs. Apart from a towel and some soap, no room facilities. The smell coming from the bathroom drains was horrible, stinking the room out, so we had to keep the doors shut and open the bathroom window. The place right next door is undergoing construction work which goes on ALL DAY & NIGHT. Drilling, grinding, cutting, and hammering, dogs barking, flood lighting, we did not sleep a wink for 2 nights.
Location right next to pyramids with a nice roof top terrace you can sit and watch the light show in the evening. Place generally nice, breakfast included

GermanyNext to the hotel there is a construction on-going from 6pm until 1.30 am in the morning. You cannot sleep at all neither enjoy the view from terrace in the evening as noise is unbearable. I guess the.next 3-4 months or this year you wont have a different situation. Don't go there. Rooms are spacious, but you might use the same blanket of the previous guest. Windows are not fully insulated, strong wind blow through gaps.
The cleaning staff was very friendly, breakfast was acceptable, view from the terrace meet your expectation, view from room balkony is not the best as the pictures show, you have to lean over to see the pyramides.

IsraelStuff was ugly!!!! Avoid this place since it is being run by family that will have no problem to lie to you in your face. I ordered a room with private bathroom and balcony and got a room with a dirty old bathroom and toilet *outside* the room not the one at the pictures.... and a terrace i had to share with the room next to me...they said that private bathroom can be ... outside the room...the hotel had the option to solve it immediately (me and my friends checked it immediately if we can book for that night...the answer is yes the hotel answer was "we are full" )....i passed a complain to booking.com adding all screenshots as a proof. i strongly recommend you not to put your money in the pockets of people like this!!!!....we as a tourists- deserve more.worst hotel by all meanings we had on a two weeks tour in egypt. Period.
Only the view from rooftop, yet, there are so many around and this doesn't worth the rest.

CanadaI booked based on ratings and felt it was rated much to high. I assume the great ratings come from the terrace and staff as the room, fixtures and cleanliness were at a 6.5. The room had dirty marks around door handles, the carpets in the room could use a clean, bathroom fixtures were all well worn...
Terrace has an amazing view and staff were exceptional.

United StatesThe booking said we'd have a private bathroom and we did not. The bathroom was not connected to our room and many people went in and out of it at all times. There was no way to lock other people out of the bathroom to stop them from using it. We were told we should be the only ones using it but people were coming from other floors to use it. The area in front of the building was full of trash.
The rooftop sitting area was very nice and had great views!

United StatesI didn’t love the shared bathroom, and the front door to the inn is open without anyone monitoring it therefore it’s possible for strangers to enter.
It is located quite literally in front of the pyramids. It feels a bit deserted when you step outside therefore I would encourage to have car service/Uber at the ready.

Italy1. the bathroom of room i booked is not inside of room, which is needed to emphasize and the bathroom can not be locked from outside which means everyone can entry. I was told that is my private bathroom which was occupied by guest from other room when i wanted to used it. can be a mistake but for sure everyone can get in that bathroom. 2. when I checked in, instead of showing me my room, the staff held me in the reception and kept asking me to book trip from them and asking my private phone number in the excuse of sending tour information which I think should be printed open information. when they make it like private messages, there is bigger chance to make different price. 3. the breakfast includes only 1 coffee. if you need more coffee, you need to pay. meanwhile, I spend another night in guardian guesthouse, which offers endless coffee drinks and snacks with no additional fee added when you booked. I was charged 5.98$ service fee extra over tax. I told them the room is overpriced. I have already felt uncomfortable of what happened before and the hidden information of the bathroom, I would feel disaster if I have to pay for the coffee. they agreed and free me from the coffee fee.
great view, very close to phoenix

United StatesThere is not much I didn’t like as I did enjoy my stay and time in Cairo/Giza, Egypt. I will note that the wifi works the best at the rooftop but in the bed room the signal comes and goes but this is ok because you’ll want to spend most of your time at the rooftop when you are at the hotel. Furthermore, I would also note that for any extra service that the hotel provides that you make sure you communicate well and clear with the host and make sure you are in agreement and understand the price first before receiving the service. I will also note that this hotel is located in the main tourist section of Cairo/Giza, Egypt. However, the area around the hotel doesn’t look so nice, clean or safe. Though this is not the hotel fault as the hotel itself was safe, clean and nice looking on the inside. This is more the government of Egypt fault. That was something that shocked and surprised me that the biggest attraction for tourist in Egypt and one of the biggest tourist areas in the world doesn’t look clean, safe and nice as you would think it would. Once again I will stress that is this not the hotel fault as they can’t control the outside of their property this is a problem with the Egyptian government.
The location is the best part. The hotel is location right in front of the Great Pyramids. You also can’t beat the view of the great pyramids that you get at this hotel from the rooftop it is the best view. The hotel had everything I needed for my stay. I had a good stay at this hotel and everything was provided. They offer breakfast in the morning at the rooftop; however, unfortunately I overslept everyday and missed it. This is my fault as I stay out late and slept in past noon. The ticket office to the pyramids are right outside the hotel so you can literally walk to the ticket office buy a ticket and walk to the great pyramids yourself. The hotel offers a guide tour which was great and very knowledgeable. I do recommend this option if you’re not familiar with ancient Egyptian history and culture or even if you are familiar with ancient Egyptian history you still might learn something you didn’t know. The host was friendly, helpful, and nice as well as willing to provide for anything extra that I might have needed. They have a 24 hour host there to help you with anything you need. All around I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and I definitely recommend this hotel for future travelers to Cairo/Giza, Egypt.
