Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Nasser and his family are wonderful hosts. It's like living at home not in an hotel. Nasser went out of his way to help me and I will visit his family again on my return to Luxor on the 18th. Room was spacious with very comfortable bed,fan and two balconies.

ItalyNescafè coffee; they could do fresh coffee, Egypt is famous for good coffee. Why Nescafé? Sometimes there was no water in the bathroom but it later came. It’s a large family with children, so it was very noisy at times, you have to bear it. But at night it’s quiet. The hotel is outdated, but it’s cheap.
I liked breakfast a lot, it was good. The room was large and the bathroom ok with hot water. The staff were friendly, I like family-run businesses because I like contributing to local communities instead of giving money to international corporations.

ItalyWonderful stay at this charming hotel in Luxor! The breakfast, prepared by the family, was absolutely delightful—especially the fried eggs, which I enjoyed every morning. The owner was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to help us when we arrived, especially after a difficult experience with our driver. His warm hospitality truly made our stay special, and we felt well taken care of throughout our visit. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a welcoming and cozy place to stay in Luxor!

Democratic Republic of CongoThe room was on the third floor, which played on my knees as I am 56. it was a little dusty at first but as soon as we mentioned it they cleaned it and it was much better.
At first we thought it looked a bit run down but we were not expecting the fantastic welcome we got. We were very well looked after, particularly by Nassr, and we had great experiences as they helped us set up and arrange all of our tours and all for fair prices. The breakfast was wonderful each morning and we ate there twice at other times of the day. We can honestly say it was the best food we have had in Egypt.

FranceIncredibly loud the first 2 days, with loud music until late at night, but there was a wedding in the family so it's understandable. It was ok the last 2 nights. A bit hard to find (follow maps and not booking), so cardboard would help to find the place
Nice and helpful staff/owner

PeruThe service, the people is amazing! Always with a smile and ready to assist you with anything you may need. Nasser is the best! You can ask him about tours or where to get a pill and he has the info at the tip of his fingers. I felt really safe and we'll take care. Since I made the reservation and Nasser him self went to pick me up. Amazing!!

United KingdomBreakfast was delicious, a fresh egg dish that tasted amazing. The bedrooms were painted really vibrant colours. The place has a lovely outdoor courtyard with a tree that you eat breakfast in. The host Nasser is really kind and made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I did not feel pushed to do anything I didn't want to. Nasser helped organise a hot air balloon ride when I asked, he picked me up from the bus station when I arrived. The hotel also did my laundry for a small extra charge. I really felt at home at this hotel. The upper floors have a gorgeous view of the Nile and it's a relaxed place to be. Tea was offered sometimes without any charge. Overall, the best hotel I stayed at Egypt with tremendous value for money.

A fantastic local stay with the nicest family and superb location on West Bank to valley of the kings and queens. I really felt at home, away from home as the friendly family made sure breakfast was ready efficiently for me each morning whenever I liked. I enjoyed sharing the scrumptious fresh cheese and hot pan eggs with their cute little kitten. Best breakfast all trip made with grandmas love and care! So wonderful to have a woman, grandma and kids around to feel comfortable as a solo female traveler. I was at ease at all times. They checked in on me if I was out past dark and left me to a peaceful view when needed. Never pushy always sweet as pie! This place really is a treat and a must stay. Nasser (the manager) even picked me up at the train for no extra cost and escorted me/welcomed me to the hotel to get my bearings. Showed me the local juice shop and arranged anything I needed to see and do. Be sure to stay here on your trip to Luxor!
