United KingdomThere is no Wifi in the room - I specifically chose this place because it says Free Wifi in the room, but it is only in the reception area and even there the connection is not great. This was a huge annoyance when I wanted to be connected during my stay and put a real dampener on the visit. In 2022 a 5* hotel should be able to provide this. The staff said it will be installed soon. But this isn't a good enough response when you advertise it on your Booking.com page. Other customer service issues. My room was quite a walk away from reception in a bit of maze like part of the complex. On arrival, the hotel staff took me part of the way and then just pointed in the direction that I was supposed to go, so I wandered around trying to find the room and then the keycard didn't work on the door. I was so tired after a long journey so this really upset me to have been treated so carelessly. In other hotels the staff ensure you get into your room comfortably. I had to walk all the way back to reception leaving my luggage unattended. For a 5* hotel this is pretty bad. And then at night, I was drifting off to sleep when I get a knock on my door at midnight. I was scared of who it could be. It was a member of staff who gave me a plate of fruit saying it was a gift from the hotel. So not only did this wake me up, but it was creepy and a very odd thing to do at midnight.
Amazing exotic resort to have a really great holiday on a beautiful beach with fantastic food. I was only there one night after a diving trip, but the room was beautiful and the food buffets were amazing.

United KingdomThe room hadn't been swept properly - there were bits on the floor. And maybe its condition was not all it might have been - for example, the shower control fell off, the patio door lock wouldn't open.
The breakfast was fine - once i could find the restaurant. I only stayed for one night, after getting off a dive liveaboard) and in that time I did find it difficult to find my way around. Many more signposts would be helpful

EgyptI didn't like the beach its very rocky and full of coral reefs.. opposite to what was said by the hotel that the beach has a sandy part. so if u don't wanna snorkel ir dive u won't be able to swim on the shore .. and u will find the water nearly touching ur knee.. Moreover The swimming pools wasn't deep enough the deepest one was 120cm so u have to deal with it

EgyptI am writing this review on my home from Sands hotel. Plz read carefully before booking there! In day 2 during my stay me and my 3 years old boy devolped fever sever diarrhea vomiting and stomachache.my wife called the reception to ask if there is a doctor available. The receptionist said yes! But he is not available right now and that the Dr. will be available soon and for an extra charge. She asked if there any hospitals close by and the reseptionest said yes! Port Ghalib hospital but it is a private hospital and is gonna cost us way more! I waited for the Dr and when he got to see me I was severely dehydrated and shaking.He diagnosed me of having a traveller's diarriah.whiich is odd but I was in no position to argue. The Dr paid very little attention to my baby and only measured his temp which was up to 39 C. Later that night my baby was vomiting a lot and the temp wasn't responding to any medication that we got him. My wife called the reciption to make sure that the Dr is still there and that he could deal with my baby.the reiptionest was very rude and refused to even call the Dr or wake him up before we agree to the extra charge which was Now higher since we were after midnight. We decided to go to the hospital. And guess what! They charge us less than half what the hotel charged us! And had all the medication needed for both me and my boy! He spent our vacation in bed with the fear to eat cuz we didn't know what mad us sick in the first place, however we meet we several other guests who suffered the same thing. On our last day we got a little better. Again we talked to the reception to see if we can get a late check out so we can enjoy the day and as disappointing as they were the manager only agreed to give us 2 more hrs to pack and leave.
This hotel has literally everything the beach big lagoon pools and good location except for honesty and cleanliness
