How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The welcome is very warm and the staff very attentive. In addition to the usual good services, we were well advised for our tourist visits.

Bathroom has some issue on the drainage system. Airflow is not effective.
The staff is extremely helpful and welcome.

Perfect place to stay in Cairo. So close to pyramids that you can gaze at them whilst having your breakfast. Room modern and clean. Staff welcoming and unobtrusive. Breakfast plentiful with exquisite view. I really scored with this booking. It's even in a quite part of town, the bustle of Giza is a short walk away or pennies in a taxi. Cairo is unforgettable, and this is the place to base yourself.

1. Mr. Mohamad, the front desk manager, was very attentive. 2. The hotel had arranged a tour guide for us for a very affordable price. 3. We booked 2 bed and 1 sofa bed for 3 but was given 3 bed instead.

Our shower was not hot enough, they tried to help with that but didn’t work. We felt that our room was always cold
The location was amazing, we were next to the grand museum and the pyramids so the transportation was never a problem. The staff at the property was friendly and helpful they were always willing to help, breakfast was included and was so complete, they offered tours as well at the hotel and they have plenty of options. The room size was big, we love that !

I had a wonderful stay at Saray Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The room was immaculate, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I could need. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, and the hotel's location was perfect for exploring the city. I especially appreciated the warm hospitality and attention to detail throughout my stay. Highly recommended, and I can't wait to return!

Absolutely nothing. :-)
It is truly an exceptional hotel. Was close to Giza pyramids and it was the main reason we selected this hotel. However everything else was absolutely perfect. Rooms were spacious and clean, there was a mini fridge with water when we first came with kettle and tea and coffee. Also we were served with hibiscus tea on our arrival. Staff was supper friendly, reception, people who helped us carry luggage and restaurant. We only took breakfast from restaurant because we were outside rest of the time and they have a such a wide range of selection for the breakfast menu. And the taste was amazing. Im so gutted that i lost the piece of paper i wrote the names of the staff that helped us as i wanted to say thanks. But if you guys read this post please know that you made such a difference to our stay and made it vey enjoyable. Will definitely recommend this place for anyone travelling with kids and will come back if we visit Cairo again.

the room didn't have a nice view, the beds were maybe a little hard, but these are small details.
placed very very close to the new GEM museum, and close to the pyramids, the staff is truly the highlight of this hotel. super helpful, smiley, always going the extra mile. we arrived at 4 am and they made us room service! the room was big and clean.

The rooms were very clean, big, modern and with a clean fridge. This is one of the best hotel rooms I have had and especially for this price point in Egypt. Typical Egyptian breakfast and of course the view of the pyramids (saw 2) was amazing. We also walked from the hotel the the new Egyptian museum, only thing is that you need to cross a big road, but there are a lot of locals willing to help out with that!

Not many shops or dining options to walk to but uber is always good and inexpensive.
Quiet location. Close to the grand museum. So very clean. Upstairs breakfast area a delight. Spacious, comfortable room.

The air in Cairo is not clear, so you don't have good views too the Pyramids. But this is not a mistake of the hotel
The hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially Shams at the reception. The Pyramids are close to the hotel.
