Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesRight across the pyramids with beautiful views esp from the rooftop terrace. We bought dinner and enjoyed a picturesque sunset over the pyramids while dining. Would have been able to see the Sound and Light show from the terrace but the night we stayed the show was not on. Next time will return and for the show too! The suite we stayed in has two rooms and two bathrooms. All very clean and comfortable!

It is one of the most beautiful experiences that I did. The room was clean and spacious, and the bathroom was clean as in the pictures. Likewise, the view of the pyramids was excellent from the room and the roof as well. I took breakfast on the roof with a view of the pyramids and the Sphinx. I had breakfast. It was beautiful and varied. The staff was friendly and responsive. They were always smiling. The service and the entire hotel was clean and smelled constantly in the hotel. The staff helped to carry out tourist trips to visit the pyramids, the Sphinx, Memphis and Saqqara. At dinner, a visit to the Nile River, a moving boat for about two hours. Belly dance, dinner and skirt were really one of the most important experiences

United KingdomDue to its proximity to the landmarks, there is a lot of noise and people outside the hotel and the surrounding area.
The room was newly renovated spacious and clean. The hotel is a stones throw from The Sphinx and Giza pyramid. The staff were very helpful and quick to assist.

BahrainThere is no reception desk on ground floor when you arrive but there was usually someone from the staff around - just not the most secure arrangement although we had no issues. Our toilet leaked quite badly and had a bad smell - hopefully will get fixed for next people! The surrounding area does have the horse stables and camels so is smelly in some streets behind the hotel and there are a lot of stray dogs and traffic noise so don’t expect a quiet night! (noting that this didn’t actually bother us either- just a note if a quiet night is what you want!) There was also no room service but as we only stayed 2 nights it didn’t really matter. Don’t rely on the airport pickup as ours did not arrive.
The property is in an amazing location for viewing the pyramids of Giza. The roof terrace (although a little unfinished) has superb views and you can watch the light show on the pyramids from there. We had a ‘junior suite’ which is essentially 3 single beds and a small sitting area and it was perfectly OK apart from an issue with the bathroom (see below). The breakfast is not like the pictures but was fine to get you going! I read other reviews complaining of the horse stable smells- we couldn’t smell them at all from in the property. The room was clean and relatively cheap. It was good to experience staying in the area for a couple of nights!

NOT WHAT WAS IN THE PICTURES when I questioned it they said it was for sky pyramids view which was exactly what I booked but they pretended not to understand. very sketchy. DID NOT FEEL SAFE

United StatesWe did not feel safe here . The staff did not wear any uniforms. I have no idea who works here and who is a scammer from outside . There are people all over this area trying to steal from you so when I arrive and I have many people all over trying to sell me something or help me with my bags and I don’t know any of these people . The hotel does not control who is on their property . There is no front desk when you enter the building, no security, no uniformed employees. No safe in the room , we are told not to worry . The room we paid for was not the room we were given . The bed is very old and you can feel springs in your back . There was no Wi-Fi at all so I could not even plan my time in Egypt or work while I’m here . I am guessing if you see any good reviews the hotel owners must review their own place many times to trick foreigners to stay here .

BulgariaWhere to start from? Firstly, despite their promise and confirmation thereof they did not come to pick us up from the airport, which meant we had to take a taxi. They didn't even apologize for this. Secondly, we were put in a room in another building, which did not look at all like the pictures of Sky Pyramids View hotel. After we made a complaint about this, we were finally checked-in the actual building of Sky Pyramids View, but despite our booking for a room with a view to Giza pyramids, we were put on the first floor (with the loudest street noise and windows which could not close fully) with barely any view. Moreover, when we checked-in the room was not prepared for us (there were no towels, no soap, no toilet paper, no shampoo/body wash) - we had to beg the staff to give us some. In addition, for the whole duration of our stay, our room was not cleaned once. The breakfast is very repetitive without any typical dishes and is given in servings (you get what they give you). You might get coffee only if you request it. Also, the actual breakfast does not look like the one from the pictures. There was a bad smell from the toilet canal. The area around the hotel is in very bad condition and many beggars attack you the moment you step outside. We also didn't get any invoice of our payment. We had booked 3 tours from the hotel and strongly advice that nobody repeats our mistake because the service does not meet the described criteria. We had requested an English speaking driver for one of our tours and despite their promise, they sent a driver who spoke little to no English. Furthermore, despite their bad service, they expected very high tips. The communication with them is also very slow - we still haven't received answers to questions raised before and during our stay there. Finally, despite the nice view, we do not recommend this hotel based on the above-mentioned!
The only good thing in this hotel is the view to the Sphynx and the pyramids from the rooftop.

GermanyDear readers, my family -2 adults and 2 kids, booked the Junior Suite with Pyramids View and breakfast at this property. Also we booked the airport transfer for 15 EUR (the manager proposed himself). We agreed and provided our flight details. On arrival at Cairo airport we found out that none was waiting for us. We tried to call the property but none answered the phone, We called several times - without result. We took a taxi and went to the property. It is worth to notice that it was already late in the evening and we had a very tiresome journey. As we came to the property, the guy who met us said that the room we booked had a water damage and we cannot check in...We were shocked as we were together with kids and very tired, the area was fully overbooked - it was very hard to find any availability for 4 persons and already too late. We asked the guy to show us the water damage (because we suspected there was no water damage - only double booking), but the guy refused to show the room, saying he had no keys (strange, as the damaged room should be accessible any time). We asked where is the owner - he was not available. The guy tried to propose us some rooms (2 rooms) of some friends to some inappropriate price and quality, we of course refused and left the property. We managed to find a room by ourselves but we had much stress this night, after a long journey with 2 tired kids. Not to mention it was dangerous to stay on the streets at night with kids and suitcases and nowhere to go. I hope that my story is the only one judging by the common rate of the property, but I had to share it with all other guests who want to come to this hotel.
