How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Too big hotel and noisy lobby. Some construction going on at the lobby.
The location and size of the room View of the room was also very nice.

It took some time to recieve the family room - after formal check-in time, which was a bit annoying after very early flight and tired kids.
Great location - easy to get everywhere. Great spacious room. Very friendly and helpful stuff. Awesome breakfast with whatever you'd like to have. We loved it!

All was great.
The room was very cozy, it had a lot of space. There were welcome glasses of champagne in the reception, you could get a flavoured water at the reception at any time of your stay. The water was also waiting for us in the room. The toiletries were awesome - there was also a toothbrush and toothpaste for each of us. Very nice.

The Location was perfect! However they took 48 hours to fix the Air Conditioning. The staff are good. they try but they are swamped. The breakfast was the same everyday. Quality of it can be better. Doesn't justify the price one pays for breakfast.

For longer stays I would stay in the heart of Barcelona (near the marina or on the Ramblas)
I have stayed at the Sants for many years, it’s in a useful location for a short stay of a day or two and very easy access to the airport. The breakfast was great value and included lots of lovely fresh products, one of the best buffet breakfasts I have had. The late lie in to 12pm is also a bonus and the concierge kindly looked after bags after checking out as my flight wasn’t until the evening.

Nothing really. Maybe just would have been nice to have access to the fitness centre as part of the price.
Room was lovely and modern. The beds were SO comfortable and the shower was really nice. The hotel is modern and with a cool space- theme throughout. Location is good with access to lots of transport. Directly above the train station and close to walk to other metro or bus stations.

We had a problem to find the entrance, it’s a bit hidden. Anyway it is in the train station.
The view from the window was a breathtaking. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean. This hotel has a good location, you can find cabs just in from of the hotel. The restaurant offers good food. Breakfast are amazing - food is fresh and there is a wide choice.

Room was modern and clean. The bathroom was very good. Small but perfect for a few days. Location was great for getting around and using public transport but it is very close to the station (on top of it actually) so the area can be quite busy. You couldn't hear any noise though once in the room.

Pillows were too soft for my liking and the bar fridge was not working. Otherwise would stay there again.
Great location being attached to Barcelona-Sants. Very convenient, clean and great bed. Great if you have an overnight rail connection.

The rooms were spacious and abstract in their layout. Very clean and the staff were fantastic, particularly Adria who made our stay that bit better. Perfect location if you’re looking to move around the city a lot as it’s directly above the station but without any noise pollution from the below activities.

The sink is outside of the bathroom which is not ver convenient. Other than that, all good!
The space shuttle concept is fun and interesting. The room was very silent despite being on top of the station.
