Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyWell, not much. Everything was great.
Everything. Nice and friendly stuff, live band at the swimming pool in the weekend, nice view from the hotel, close to the beach, area where the hotel is was quiet and close to shopping center, metro, taxi station, a couple of terraces also in the neighborhood. Wonderful! Totally recommended 👌

EgyptAir condition was not working properly in my room and elevators are always late and busy all the time, the shutters were old and not working properly and what really was shocking is that I requested airport taxi with checkout , and told them i have 6 bags several times, they booked a normal cab and was very rude and unprofessional, the bellman was very very rude and argumentive, they even didn't mind to apologise which made me run with kids around the hotel to find a taxi and nearly was going to miss my plane
The location

PortugalIt's too big of a property to have so few elevators. Had to wait a lot or be crowded in with lots of young people. If we turned the air up in our room, it made a horrendous noise. The staff was sympathetic, but no more rooms available. The property was fine but needed a little love. Totally worked for our purposes, but didn't add to the trip. Neutral.
The staff was super nice and the location was great but only because we were going to the Cruilla festival. Otherwise too far out of downtown to enjoy Barcelona easily. There is a great taxi stand nearby which was a big bonus.

Switzerland- the worst are the elevators (only 3 elevators for a 25 floors hotel and 800 guests!!!).. you can easily stand there waiting for 5-10 mins. multiplied by 4-6 times a day… it is just crazy annoying. On top, they are obviously quickly dirty or wet (from the AC dripping water or due to the pool customers walking in..). - The staff (especially at the reception, pool bar, or security) lacks basic customer service and mentality.. no greetings, barely feel welcomed, never attentive to customers. When we left, i handed the cards back.. to only receive a “you’re all set” comment and nothing else (after 6 nights at the hotel). Does not feel like great customer mindset to me. At the pool bar, i ended up going by the cashier to pay my bill, and had to basically pay in the middle of an argument between 2 staff members … almost felt like i should not be there. - i was very surprised it took so much efforts to re-arrange my booking (changed a 7-nights stay in a 6-nights stay)… felt like an endless ping-pong loop between booking.com and the property. Both disappointing really, might consider other ways to book vacations.
- the pool - the towels & equipment - the English breakfast at the bar (by the reception, not the one on 1st floor!) - the cleaning lady (8th floor) was very friendly and did a great job; - the service at the bar at the reception (Guillermo was such a friendly person!)

United Arab Emiratesinstructions from the management to the staff left bad impression about the hotel, every customer request for a beach towel charged three euros, every customer request for knife and fork charged some euros, I never been in a hotel in Barcelona charging money for such a thing specially four stars hotel. I advise the management to do better specifically when I paid the nine euros for three towers for three consecutive days no receipt was hand over to me.

Switzerlandstaff waiting at the door who do not smile and do not greet
First of all, thank you for everything. There are caring and polite receptionists. It's just the staff waiting at the door that I can't understand and who don't greet or smile at all. Apart from that, the room is very clean, the towels and sheets in the room were changed every day, the room service is very very good as cleaning. The hotel is very close to the beach, you can wear your shorts and walk to the beach. There is a very large shopping center very close to it, you can meet all your needs from there. There are also small restaurants around the hotel. There are Metro Tram and bus stops very close by. With the Halo BCN card, you can travel all over Barcelona very easily. There are two nice and clean pools for children, adults can enter the pool, but we did not prefer it because the beach is close to the small hotel. Thank you also for the various drinks in the mini bar. Room air conditioner is also very good. In summary, we liked the hotel very much because of the cleanliness and comfort and also the location of the hotel. If I come to Barcelona again I would like to stay in this hotel again

United KingdomA day before arrival I paid a €133 deposit. As we arrived to check in at 11pm the next day I was told that they never received my deposit and needed to charge me the full amount, despite me showing both a screenshot of the confirmation page after paying my deposit and my bank statement showing the money having left my account. They said it was ‘too late’ to sort it during my check in on Saturday night and when I asked if I could come back to reception to sort it the next morning I was told ‘Monday morning would be more convenient’ by a man who clearly just couldn’t be bothered to sort it for me. The next morning I spoke to a lovely girl behind reception who helped me however it took an hour of me emailing screenshots of my bank statements & confirmation pages to her and her speaking to management before I was told I would be refunded my deposit. We spent what felt like half of our holiday waiting for the lifts every time we left the room/came back from a day out due to the hotel having 26 floors, being at almost full capacity and only having 3 lifts. Stairs weren’t really an option being on the 16th floor. The rooftop pool is lovely but has only 5 Sun loungers and is a very small area for such a large hotel. There is no sun on the 3rd floor pool after 2pm so we spent most of our time at the beach instead of the hotel pools.
The rooms are very clean and beds are very comfortable.
