Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. HungaryUnfortunately in our period we had to tell the staff about two mistakes: when we arrived, we were given a very noisy room, and two days later it was impossible to get into the garage. Errors can happen everywhere, the question is how to handle them. Here, in a 4-star hotel, both problems were solved in a 5-star way. The room was immediately changed for us, and of course we didn't have to pay for parking, in fact, we received a small gift of ham and wine tasting as compensation. SwitzerlandBasic rooms and unfriendly reception staff. Check in advance that you get a room with a toilet door unless you like to share a lot with your roomy. Don‘t fall for the suite upgrade. It‘s a terrible, cold and heartless room mainly made for having meetings.

United StatesThe rooms are a little dated. When we got in, they had left dirty towels hanging in the toilet room. We are used to get a robe and sandals from the other Barceló hotels and we didn’t get any here.We asked the front desk and they said we have to request them. We were very disappointed by our view.
We decided to stay at this hotel, because we love the beds of the Barcelo chain.the room was comfortable and the beds amazing, but we had a view of these weeds and a building, which we were disappointed.We got our room with breakfast, so we didn’t pay attention if the room had a coffee maker. But it did have a small refrigerator. The shower was super small, and it had a separate toilet. The toilet door was kind of stuck also. it had toiletries in the bathroom and nice towels and a blow dryer, and electrical outlets on both sides of the bed. These rooms need a little upgrade though. The breakfast was amazing, but the first day when we got in, it was packed. But they still brought me my gluten-free warm bread.. there is a parking with an additional charge. The front desk was very helpful and helped us with restaurant recommendations. Eugenio did our reservations for a superb restaurant for us. Walking distance to the Guggenheim and to the restaurants and cable car. There was a small Carrefour walking distance too.Great location!

United StatesLocation is superb! Excellent parking, albeit a bit tight. I spilled some red one on a very costly dress shirt while out dining at mid-day. I immediately took the shirt to the hotel. That same day they had it laundered and pressed to perfection and the stain was completely gone. They had the shirt placed in my room while we were out. For a total cost of 10€, SIMPLY OUTSTANDING! Very impressed with the hotel & staff. Rooms were superb and breakfast was magnificent. Most highly recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for luxury and convenience in such a perfect location!

FranceOur room was in bad condition the headboard disintegrated in my hand and there was no privacy in the bathroom. We had a flood in our toilet the television seemed to be affected by the amount of water (scary!) and there was a horrible smell associated with the problem. The tech staff they sent to look into it gaslighted us for the problem (which i attribute to a training problem and administrative responsibility not to the guy himself). They moved us to another room eventually which was less clean same lack of privacy and where the security box didn t work. The hotel offered no apology for this stream of hazards and inconveniences and made no gesture at checkout to compensate us in any way. Not classy or commercial.

Perfect position. Great room. Good quality bed linen towels etc. Super breakfast. Loved the open bathroom. Even an an iron in the wardrobe. Exceptional staff! Would definitely recommend!

RomaniaFirst of all, i have to begin by saying this is not the first time we stay at Barcelo Hotels. This time, in Bilbao, we paid for a superior double room, we received a "coffin" and when we went to the reception to complain about that, the answer was "we are fully booked". 5 minutes before that, the money were taken for the superior double room and in the same time, that same room that I paid for was still available on Booking. The receptionist (Yulene) became very offended and rude and she was saying we are being rude to her, that she is just a receptionist and it's not in her power to solve this issue, she refused to call a manager, because "the manager is at home". As long as I know, the manager or a superior has to be involved in this kind of problems. When we told her that she robbed us with intention, knowing that the hotel doesn't have that room available (it was still available on Booking, as i mentioned before), she became very nervous and at one point she turned her back on us. One of her colleagues (Haizea) came to us and asked what happened....and then, the miracle happened, there was a double superior room, but a disabled room. She showed us the room and we chose to stay there. The second day someone was suppose to move us in the room that we payed for. That never happened. No manager contacted us, the attitude of the staff was absolutely unacceptable.I have to mention that the check in was made online, but when we arrived, we did the procedure again, way too much time lost for nothing. We were supposed to park our car in the parking of the hotel, as mentioned online, but when we got there, the receptionist told us it was full and sent us to a public parking, even though there were cars going in an out the hotel parking. The room was way to expensive for what we received and the receptionist's attitude was absolutely unacceptable.
The breakfast was really good.
