How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The only minor issue we had was that the fridge seemed not to be functioning but the hotel staff were very helpful and quick to remedy it.
It was very spacious, clean and welcoming!

The hotel is very nice, there is a nice bar, the pool on the roof is a great addition although it was a bit crowded. Room was perfect, clean and comfortable. We tried the spa and it was amazing and very relaxing. Location close to the beach and directly in front of the tramway so we could take it to go to the centre.

The room was not super clean, I expected more for what I payed.

The toilet was dirty upon entrance. The pool area was very crowded at times the sun was out. There was not a balcony in the bedroom.
Everything was okay, breakfast had good variety, nice clean bed and bedroom and good activities.

No balcony, nowhere to dry clothes, swimsuits. No slippers.
Upon arrival they gave us a smoky room. We informed the reception, and they immediately replaced it with another one. The room is spacious, modern renovation. The bathroom has good vegan cosmetics. Snow-white towels, daily cleaning. The hotel is not far from the beach, about 10 minutes walk. Nearby is the Diagonal Mar shopping center, which has a lot of cafes, great shopping. The hotel itself is 18-story, with a small pool on the roof The staff is responsive.

Not the hotels fault but some other guests were inconsiderate. Pool was busy but this was expected.
Location, friendly staff, the hotel made some little extra touches as we were having a celebration. The beds were comfy and room was very clean. Pool although small was welcome after a hot day.

the pool is dirty, somebody tried open my room I qas alone I called the front desk never never answered that happend also with the room next to mine. Tjey tried several times for hours late afternoon during the night

terrible bath / shower to step in pool size small pool bar closes 7pm, shd be same as pool (8pm) operating hours of pool (9am-8pm) not sufficient restaurant not inviting (go to Marriot's 13th floor, just opposite diagonal, good exampel of what SB Diagonal shd invent)

Check-in was slow, we have to wait until 4pm to check into one of the rooms. The rooftop swimming pool was closed.
The bed was comfy. Very close to Diagonal Mar and walkable to the beach.

Shower plug was blocked so could only have a 2minute shower before the water overflowed into the room.
Lovely room and views. Perfect location for near to the conference centre. Restaurant food was great and service very good. I've stayed here before and will always choose this as my "go-to" hotel when I need to be in this area. I was lucky enough to be given a corner room with views over the sea so the room was extremely spacious and very good value for money.

Pool very small and crowded
Very nice rooms and clean. Taxi rank not far from hotel so made going into the centre very easy
