Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaFurniture was a little bit out of date.
It was very close to the aqueduct. The room was quiet.

Close to the Roman Aquaduct. The stop of bus 11 to the train station is well within walking distance.

United KingdomHelpful staff, spoke good English. Made space in storeroom for my bicycle. Great location, on a quiet street away from noisy tourist area but a minute's walk to the Roman aqueduct and next to a 12th Century church with storks nesting on the tower - very atmospheric!

GermanyI was mesmerized by the town in overall, by the proximity to the aqueduct, last but not least by the armies of storks everywhere, particularly on the bell tower of the church of San Justo, in front of the hostal.

United StatesThe soundproofing is poor, so you can clearly hear the noise from the next room. Be careful if you bring your parents. There is no more free breakfast. You have to pay for breakfast.
The location is really good. I tend to get cold easily, but even though it was winter, the heating was good so I slept warmly❣️

SpainThe temperature in the room was hard to control, and the interior walls were quite thin. We could hear a child coughing during the night in the next room. Perhaps some complementary earplugs would help?
We were so grateful for a clean and comfortable room. Mattresses were comfortable and supportive, and the temperature and water pressure in the shower was nice. It’s in a fantastic location, and the noon checkout time with the ability to store our luggage until our evening train was especially convenient and appreciated.

SwedenThe price is good for being in Segovia but to other comparable cities in Spain it's expensive. A little updating of room standard would be welcomed.
Location comes out on top, some few minutes to the Aqueduct. The single room with a zink is very close to the bathroom shared with (2?) other rooms. My bed was very comfortable. Otherwise the room did'nt offer any extras. The breakfast served at my table for 4 euros included coffee, two slices of toast, butter/jam and orange juice. Simple but enough for me.

SpainI loved it here, like the proper hostels of my youth. I booked a single room but it was spacious and actually had a double bed. As a solo woman it felt very safe. The staff were friendly and recommended a local place for dinner.

United KingdomNo tea/coffee facility in room.
No breakfast. Accommodation, single room, very good, great value. Shared bathroom potential inconvenience, but never occupied when I wanted to use.Great location, close to monuments, in side street to rear of aqueduct. Thursday night quite noisy, realised eventually it was local brass band rehearsing for procession. Eerie. Had experienced Semana Santa in Castille & Leon some years before. Added to authentic Spanish feel of my stay .

CanadaNo lift , but we stayed on first floor, not a big problem. The wall is thin, neighbors or hall noise easily heard . The 4€ breakfast is convenient for travelers but too basic. Two slices toasts, a glass of juice , a cup of coffee.
Our room faces The Santos Justo and Pastor Church, we can see the medieval church facade in different light! During our stay, the church is open on Saturday evening for the mass, the general public can have an opportunity to see the medieval wall paintings before the mass. Staff is kind and informative. The location is very near the aqueduct .I think it is better than stay near the Plaza Major.

CanadaNo internet on top floor, had to come down one floor and use it in the staircase...also automatic lighting in staircase had very short intervals, so you are left in the dark and the wall switches aren't lit, so very hard to find without turning your phone torch on. Very heavy smoker in room below therefore, uncomfortable using internet in staircase.
Quiet location, plenty of sun with windows from 3 sides and short walk from aqueduct. Tub very small not ideal for big or tall people.
