Nice location, great breakfast. Super easy to get to the popular sightseeing locations, and to the ferry terminal. It's not very near the port so you don't really hear or see seagulls in the vicinity which is great. Bed was soft but comfortable.

Everything about this hotel was excellent. It was centrally located, very modern facilities, and the room had excellent lighting. The gym, and the sauna were both wonderful. And the breakfast, as stated before, it had a huge selection of all choices hot and cold, and even vegan.

There isn't anything valid to criticise, and any snags were so small (like nowhere to really put anything in the bathroom, barely worth saying!)

We spent ages looking at all the hotel options in Helsinki and decided on Scandic for its balance of good value, location, and atmosphere and I'm so glad we did, it was fantastic. Rooms are big and very comfortable, nice large bathrooms with enough toiletries provided, the breakfast included was exceptional (so many lovely options for many dietary requirements), and 12pm checkout. Location was great for accessing Helsinki, and easy walk to and from central station

As I have grown up with sauna, I missed unisex hot room in sauna. Sauna is all about sweat and chat which is difficult when the group is divided into two (especially if the group is already very small). There is unisex area, you can meet up when you take a break to cool down but it's not really the same thing. Breakfast was really excellent but coffee has room to improve, but hey-hoo it had caffeine in :)

Excellent location. Just a few steps to the heart of city, short walk to the sea, a few art galleries nearby, nice cafes and boutique shops around. Breakfast exceeded our expectations, many options to pick - sweet or savoury, light and healthy or heavy and filling, vegan if you like - all nice and tasty. Free WIFi worked well and my understanding is you can get better for some extra (I didn't use paid internet) Last but not the least - it worked very well for mixing work and pleasure.

There isn't much to complain about. I was pleased or pleasantly surprised with everything. Great value for the price, and a late checkout was also granted without extra cost. We will return again.

Great and huge breakfast selection, central location and everything you need within steps in the middle of Helsinki. The gym and sauna area is also very good and deserves a visit. We stayed here for Helsinki Marathon and it was a great choice for runners. I had to get up early one morning, before the breakfast was open and the staff arranged a small breakfast bag before 6am. Much appreciated!

Breakfast was excellent, variety of hot choices. Outstanding location, walking distance from all the attractions in the Center and the station. They kept my luggage for 6 days till I returned from my other destinations.

Our room was not made up on the first day. No slippers provided. Decor is generally cool urban minimalist chic inside the hotel, but lobby could do with an overhaul as it’s not a great first impression. It was REALLY expensive, but it seems that this is par for the course for a hotel in Helsinki over a weekend in high season.

Great central location, quiet and clean. Funky minimalist urban hotel. Staff very helpful. Breakfast is excellent.
