United StatesI had unpleasant experience during dinner. I am not sure if the staff were new-hires or if they just didn't know how to provide customer service to their clients. I waited long time to be seated for dinner, waitress did not check on us for drink refills or to remove dirty dishes. The restaurant wasn't that busy.
I love the contemporary design and the front desk staff were friendly. The hotel was far from city center but it was easily accessibly by public transportations. Busses and rails came by every 10 minutes so I did not mind the distance from the epic center.

IsraelIt started with our TV not working, and after they couldn’t fix it, we had to pack everything and move to another room. When we got to the new room, we noticed there was no mini-fridge, so we called to ask for one, but they said not all rooms have fridges. As a result, all the food we bought that required refrigeration went bad. It continued with us paying extra for access to the spa, but during our stay, the spa was closed several times due to private events. It's simply outrageous to charge customers and then not allow them entry. On Sunday, the spa wasn't open at all. So, we ended up choosing the hotel because of its spa and only used it once during a 4-day vacation. The facilities are not suited to the number of rooms the hotel offers. You have to stand in line to get into the jacuzzi, the sauna, and even for breakfast. There’s not enough space for everyone, and it feels like a nightmare. It looks more like a central bus station. Additionally, the hotel is kilometers away from the city center, and apart from the sauna, there is nothing to do in the area. We really didn’t enjoy our stay, and for us, it wasn’t worth the money.

PolandRoom wasn’t really clean, there was dust behind the bed. Breakfast was way to crowded as well as the sauna & spa area. During my breakfeast the stuff was trying to take my plate at least 3 times which was annoying and I couldn’t just eat in peace. I feel like some spaces are way to small for such amount of rooms.
I like the stairs in the common area. I like the variety of food at the breakfeast. I like that was quite in the rooms and you didnt hear noises.

United KingdomThe rooms are tiny. 2 person/double room is not suitable for 2 people as you can’t walk around the bed. Between the end of the bed and wall is a very narrow 20cm gap which is not enough to walk around the bed. Also the bathroom is tiny - the bathroom basin is 20cmx20cm (length of my very normal toothbrush) is not sufficient for washing your face without flooding the whole bathroom which is very small. The bathroom is too small to be a functioning toilet and shower room. Let’s be straight, the 2 person/double room is fit for single person who doesn’t wash their too rigorously. The room is like a student accommodation room - not very nice for a weekend or a week’s stay.

We arrived to find hair that looked like pubic hair on bathroom sink, there was unclean spots on doors and other dark colored interior parts, there was mucus attached to wall in bathroom, as a bonus we had 4 handwash soaps, consitioner, no shampoo or shower gel. Also bathroom sink had only cold water - shower was fine, but sink only cold. Trash bin inside a room was all dusty (outside)..

United KingdomLike all things in Finnland, it's overpriced, but this was at the lower end of the pricing scale. I stayed in Winter a few months ago and it was very cosy and comfortable. In summer however, the air conditioning didn't work very well so the room was quite hot at night.
Nice new hotel, love the design, has a nice gym and one of the best value places in Helsinki.

FinlandWe stayed at the Comfort Double room. The bed was really hard and it had uncomfortable edges higher than the mattress. When looking at Booking.com pictures, there was no picture of this room, but the Valo hotel webpage has pictures of two different types of Comfort Double rooms. This was my second stay at Valo and I have stayed at the other type of room also, which would have been very comfortable. I don't know if I could choose when booking but I don't want to stay on this option with the hard bed with edges again.

NorwayBreakfast hall seems far too small for the amount of guests at the hotel. Queues were ridiculously long even before the purported "rush hour" of the breakfast. Room wasn't spotless: found a clipped nail in the bedsheets, and there was a long strip of dirt/dust in the bathroom where the sink meets the wall. Bathroom was also not one millimeter bigger than it had to be.
