We were on our holiday, had just returned from Germany with plenty of smiling bussers and waiters working at breakfast rooms and restaurants. From the missing smiles at Valo breakfast I figured we were back in Finland - either that or there were too few bussers. I also heard the super say to her employees at 9.45 not to bring any food on offer ("There are only 15 minutes left"). It didn't make me feel relaxed...

The location was ideal for our plans, and it was nice to have a semi wall in the room between us parents and our kids. The bathroom was spacious; the "living room" was cramped when the sofa bed was made. The breakfast was quite versatile and there were a few positive surprises, e.g the salmon pie was delicious! My husband missed bacon (his arteries not so much).

A modern, new hotel very close to there tram stop that can take you to downtown in 20 minutes. Good choice of healthy breakfast, very nice stuff.

The rooms and the toilets are really too small but sitting in this unbelievable Lobby with my laptop, having a coffee and enjoying its incredible atmosphere was worth every penny.

The room was really small and as a couple it was difficult that the bed was against the wall, the person sleeping on that side has to climb over the other. Also a small minus was that there wasn't a fridge in the room even there was empty cabinets. No wardrobe was also surprising.

Breakfast was good. The hotel was clean and modern. The staff was nice and helpful. Roof terrace was cool!

Nothing, I had a great stay

I stayed here on a leisure trip to relax in Helsinki for a few days, this is a perfect place to do this. It’s located very close to the forest and some nice relaxing areas near the sea. It’s not close to the city centre but if you’re looking to unwind then it’s perfect. The room is very modern and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating when I asked for a specific room facing outwards. I would suggest also asking for this as there are lots of rooms that face into the building. The breakfast is also great !

Bathroom is a little small but doable and location is so so, otherwise all was good

Really nice hotel with comfortable wide beds. Breakfast was also good. Roof pool with all the facilities are great, sad that we arrived too late to experience it.

Staff are so by the book and they lack the sense of hospitality. At breakfast espresso and other type of coffee are paid. only black coffee is free.

I booked the hotel through booking and bookin.com confused when i did the booking thinking that it was made for 2 adults, it ended up that it was made for 1 adult and we ended paying extra fee for the 2nd person.

Valo was a good base to visit helsinki The hotel is modern and comfortable and is on a main arterial route. it takes about 15 minutes by bus to get into the city centre The breakfast and other meals were very good.

The rooms are quite small. I have had better breakfasts. Not so big and well-equiped trainingroom.

Friendly Staff. Nice location, though it is not downtown. Some nearby restaurants and good communication with the busses going Quite often.Nice rooftop bar with sauna and jacuzzi.Lots of places for working and relaxing all over the hotel.

Nothing I would have changed, the place is excellent

Lovely hotel, one of my favorites of all the hotels I've ever stayed at. Looks great, fantastic services, fantastic food, great personnel, comfortable in every way. I was most impressed with how efficiently the room was designed and organized. Best work I've ever seen. Thank you for the wonderful stay, couldn't have been happier with the place <3

we have been to the restaurant twice and although the food quality was great, I found the prices quite high. Especially because it did not come with a lot of sides which left some of us hungry after the main course. We ate almost double the portion for much less money in a Nepalese place one of the other days..

Breakfast was quite ok especially given the fact that it was inclusive - great value for money!

The room was small not up to expectations. The bathroom was really tiny, and the washbasin in the bathroom was the tiniest ever seen. ZERO marks for the room size and bathroom

The area doesn't have much to offer but it's an easy 20 minute bus ride to the city center so really not a problem.

Self check in and check out we're easy and fast, Facilities are amazing, breakfast was really great, so much effort was put into this hotel and it's maintaince. Recommended!

Only thing I would change is to include the spa access to guests. The price extra would be 20 euros per person per visit. When booking I thought it might be included but it was not.

I have stayed at this hotel several times, and it has become one of the most convenient places for me. The entire building is unique with its atmosphere, light, and space, seamlessly combining a hotel, work area, spa, bar, and even a small massage room. The view from the rooftop is also nice :) For those who are highly sensitive to sounds, it's worth noting that the hotel has quite noisy ventilation. However, if you mention this when booking, some rooms are quieter (as the hotel consists of two different buildings). Overall, the hotel is much quieter and more peaceful than those located in the city center. Breakfast offers many options, but it's best to come early or right before closing to avoid crowds. The hotel is just minutes away from the seaside promenade, a 24-hour open grocery store, and has tram and bus stops nearby. The hotel's overal quality and reasonable price make it a wise choice.

The bed drops down out of the wall. The window and curtains can be reached by climbing across the bed.

just one small thing - i was there for 2 nights, they did not clean my room nor did they change the towels. Not sure if this is per policy (cleaing policy) or a miss by the support staff.

I really like to take pancakes at a hotel breakfast. Maybe they could put couple/ some big green plants there at the restaurant to make it more homey.

Breakfast was nearly excellent (I was only missing pancakes that are my favorites when staying in a hotel). Location was perfect.
