Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaThe overall condition of our corridor was poor - it needs renovation. There was a ticket and a wooden spoon that nobody cleaned for few days (when we left, they were still there). The room also needs some renovation. The AC was not working (a heater was provided though that did the work). The doors of the wardrobe were not in good condition so we decided not to touch them so we do not break them. We kept the closet open all the time. The noise from the apartment above and next to us was quite loud. We could hear the steps and moving of furniture all the time. There was a kid (we assume) running hard for hours and finished after 22:00 and we couldn't take a good rest waking up often. We signaled to the reception and the noise was reduced but not entirely eliminated (furniture moving + occasional stomps). If possible, ask for a high floor so you do not have anyone above you. In the description it was written that there are slippers - there are none. Because of the description we didn't pack and the floor was cold to walk barefoot. We couldn't wear our shoes as they would make a further mess. If you are staying for less than 7 nights, you will not get a cleaning unless you ask for, so pack slippers for warmth and cleanliness. If you need a hair conditioner - pack one as there is only body/hair cleansing gel.
I am with mixed feelings but mostly inclining towards positive! The place is located close to a metro, supermarkets, bakeries, a park and the zoo. The room is not big, but enough for two people to have good time. The bed and pillows were comfortable for our taste. The kitchenette has all that you will need - working stove, fridge, microwave, utensils and all. We had a coffee machine in the room which was a great convenience. Good hairdryer. There are things in the lobby that you can take/buy in case of need. Very nice atmosphere. The people at the reception were extremely kind and sweet and helping and it was pleasure to talk to! Price-money ratio - good. With a better preparation and if we visit again, we would know what to pack and what to ask for in advance.

AustraliaWe couldn't get the heating right... It was either ridiculously hot or quite cold. There was a smell of must in the bathroom, where someone had obviously overflowed the sink and the cabinet had absorbed the mess.
Welcoming staff at reception, who stowed our luggage when we arrived before our room was ready. Large and comfortable room with a little kitchenette. Shower over the bath was very handy for our young children. Location was convenient for the Liberté metro stop which took you into central Paris easily. It was great value for money.

LithuaniaThere was even no salt, oil, tea, or coffee in the kitchenette. That is pretty weird, also no one is cleaning, so you need to take your trash yourself, however, no extra rubbish bags are added.
The location was good, the metro station is close, and there is a shop next to the stop. Thre were kitchenette. Prise is very good for Paris.

United KingdomThere were always crowds of men gathered in front of the apartment block, not doing anything sinister, just hanging out there, but, as a solo female traveler I didn’t particularly like it. Kitchen equipment was somewhat limited, the shower cubicle doors are not closing properly and the shower head doesn’t stay fixed on the pole, it slides down.
The property is not central, but is conveniently located between two metro stations (Liberté and Porte de Charenton on line 8). There are supermarkets nearby and some of the rooms face away from the busy roads. The receptionists were very helpful.

United KingdomOur visit to Paris was in the middle of a heat wave. The flat got very hot. It was our own fault that we missed the fact that there was no air conditioning available. But it made the stay a little uncomfortable as the only cooling was by a couple of fans provided by the hotel. Also, the toilet was separate to the bathroom and didn't have a sink for hand washing. So if you used the toilet, you had to go through the living room and kitchen areas to the bathroom to wash your hands which was a bit odd.
The flat was well situated near a metro station which made access to the centre of Paris very easy. The kitchen facilities were very good and the living room and bedroom were spacious. We paid for breakfasts in the hotel and had no complaints about the quantity or quality of the food available.
