Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

NetherlandsThe automatic check-in machine has problem. I had to call the help line. 1. When you for the first time do not choose check box of accept terms and conditions at the last step in the automatic check in machine, it does not allow you to proceed further even when you have chosen the check box second time. This is also problem in all B&B check in kiosk. The "Next" button gets disabled permanently until you call for the help. 2. In the first step of self check in you are supposed to enter last name but does not work and help line suggest you must enter first name. 3. The payment did not work. 4. The access of the touch screen is very uncomfortable position to type anything on the screen.

NetherlandsWe arrived late and check-in was a bit cumbersome. In particular since you cannot drive in through the gate, but first have to walk to some check-in machine at the hotel entrance while leaving your car in front of the gate (and blocking it), then do all stuff with reservation codes, then get back to your car with another code, etc. I understand this is for security reasons (which is appreciated), but still wondering if this cannot be made simpler, e.g. why not provide a code when booking so you could at least open the gate to drive in when you arrive.
Convenient location near the autoroute. Room adequate and clean. Good option for an overnight stay. Bakery with fresh bread nearby, which opens very early. (We didn't have breakfast at the hotel.)

GermanyWe had issues with the check in and since we arrive in the night no staff was available. We could solve the problem online but we did got charged twice. The staff on the next day was not available at reception until 2pm and we needed to leave earlier. We solve everything online again and got good response ,however it would have been easier and quicker with staff at reception if someone would have been there or; someone speaking english as the only lady there was from the kitchen and couldn explain us who to contact.
