Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe room is a bit small and feels a bit suffocated as the balcony also opens up to closed area. So ventilation is a bit less.
The location is good. Close to train station and City center

IndiaAs mentioned in the booking.com it was no way on the beachfront and some of the photos of the stay are misleading apart from the room and bathroom.
The lady who is managing the stay was nice to us.

NorwayA little difficult to find the adresse when we arrived, but we called the host and got an explanation.
Very good location. Near trainstation and the Nice beach. The host was very nice and helpful. The room var clean and nice, very calm and quiet at night. The bathroom was satisfactory with a working shower, clean towels and shower gel. The bedroom is small, but we only used it to sleep.

NetherlandsWe thought we'd have a private bathroom, but it was shared with the host. Which was however no big deal for us at all.
Lovely hospitality and cute room. Location is just a 5 min walk to the nearest tramstation and 5min from the beach. Our host was very eager to give us great tips for visiting Nice.

Ukrainethe host woman was sneaky and inadequate, sitting right down the corridor watching us all day. It was very cold in the room because of the AC but no remote control to be found. After calling the host to ask where the remote is, she rudely confronted us on the subject of opening the balcony, switched off the AC herself and left with remote again. No parking present.
it was clean and close to the city center

United StatesMy friend and I have been traveling for several months throughout Europe, and, my family has traveled extensively for many years, mostly staying at properties reserved through Booking.com. I, nor my family, have had such an unfortunate and unsettling experience before as I had with this property. I strongly discourage anyone from staying at this property as it is misrepresented on Booking.com and the host behaves inappropriately and in a threatening manner. We arrived late in the evening via train. The host was aware of our late arrival but seemed very annoyed. When we arrived, she demanded an additional cash deposit of 220 Euros in order for us to get a key. As it was late and we could not get the funds, she locked us in (we seriously could not get out) until she unlocked it the next morning for us to leave to get the money. This was very unsettling and intimidating. The info presented on Booking.com is not at all what the property actually is. The room we rented is a room within her house – not a private space – and the room itself could not be locked. All of this was terrifying and felt very unsafe for two young women. As the room cannot be locked, the host - and really anyone - can enter whenever they choose to do so, again - very unsafe. The bathroom is not private, either. The shower leaked and the host immediately threatened to keep the deposit stating that she expected it be cleaned up for her to use - the bathroom is noted as private on Booking.com. The host cited ‘rules’ that were not posted on Booking.com nor posted in the room but she expected that we follow all of these made up rules. The deposit was one ‘rule’ not included and another was a mandatory exit inspection. Keep in mind that we were in one room – the inspection was a 20 minute process and she grudgingly gave our 220 Euro back to us. Last, it felt like she was hovering and watching us… overall a very unpleasant experience.
The location - Nice is lovely.

SwedenAir condition is better to have for such a hot summer. And it is better to use a service for taking the deposit instead of requesting cash.
Good location, warm hospitality, nice furnitures and decorations

NetherlandsThe accommodation is in the city center, near the beach and train station. Also with tram and bus station nearby. The room is big and clean. The lady is really friendly and willing to give us recommendations of the restaurants and places. We enjoyed our stay there.

United KingdomOnly downside was no air conditioning but we knew this before going so it was expected to be warm. Balcony and fan provided certainly helped a lot!
Very comfortable, tidy and clean. Little balcony is nice for fresh air. Less than 5 minute walk from the front and less than 10 from restaurants and shops. Mistress Regine was very lovely and offered us drinks when it was extremely hot! Bed was very comfy!
