Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe loo and sink were in a very small space. It would be really useful to have a toilet roll holder and towel hook/rail. Maybe a towel hook near to the shower too. We would recommend notifying Stephane of your arrival time frame near to the date of your trip and updating him if your transport is delayed on the day (as ours was). Whilst he lives in the same apartment block, there is no guarantee he will be continuously on site from 5pm until midnight if there are transport delays.
The stunning views of the city and sea from the bedroom and the roof terrace are amazing - the sunrise is well worth watching! 2 of the 4 walls of this bedroom are floor to ceiling glass so the light and views are good even on a rainy day! This rooftop accommodation is situated on the top of a residential apartment block in a gated community, entrance Lara 5. It consists of a bedroom which has a double bed, mini fridge, kettle, hair drier, tv, large shower & small separate loo with sink. The large terrace area has seating for 5 plus 2 sun loungers and a bbq. We absolutely loved looking at the panorama from up here. Please Note if you are infirm or have a lot of luggage: the lift goes to floor 9 and there is then a flight of stairs to floor 10. I can't comment on the pool or the abbey on the site as we didn't visit them. On our arrival from the airport, we walked from the Fabron tram stop to the main gates situated on Boulevard Napoleon 111, note it was a steep climb with our luggage! Stephane the owner kindly greeted us at the main green gates and drove us to apartment block Lara. Stephane helpfully told us that a few metres walk from Lara 5 was a bus stop through the white gate at the top of the complex, (you need to use the key fob to enter/exit this gate). The bus service (number 6) was frequent daytime/evening. You get on/off at Magnan and within a few metres is the tram to the old town, the port, phoenix parc, the airport. The bus and tram service were both excellent. We loved dining out al-fresco and having afternoon coffees/drinks in the port area and old town. We would recommend visiting Place Messena, the quaint alleys and squares of Vieux Nice including Place Rossetti, the Cascade de Gairaut, the I love Nice sign (watch the waves breaking near to here), Monument aux Morts, Port Lympia, Promenade de Anglaise. Didn't visit the modern shopping centre, business district etc on this trip as we have been to Nice before.

United Arab Emirates1. English is very difficult to communicate. It's very hard to get the keys and find the building. The owner expected you to know this neighborhood very well. 2. WIFI is not accessible from all most any point in the room. When i consulted with the owner, he replied" U don't go on vocations for wifi". 3. About the shower, the water is less, hot wateris very limited, appliances are poor. I don't dare ask the owner, he will just probably reply " u don't go on vacations for hot water" 4. It's located on a mountain. U have to rent a car.
I will give comments on pros and cons honestly. The view is stunning. It's really great. No doubt about it.

HungaryThe apartment owner was not cooperative at all, and the advertisement was very misleading. The apartment is not in a hotel, but it is in a residential building. Getting the key was a nightmare. I had to wait for the owner (3 hours) to let me into the apartment. The map on the booking navigates you far away from the apartment, which is difficult to find.
