Great location. Parking behind the hotel. Lovely old building. Nice balcony with seating at the back of the hotel which we would have used if reception had mentioned it to us. Easy walk to city centre.

We arrived in Avignon by train, and the Hotel d'Angleterre was a short walk from the station. It was also a short walk from the main street with plenty of restaurants.

The bathroom is traditional and did not have a shower curtain, one had to take the shower in the corners. We had a one night stay and did not bother to complain, I am sure the curtains have been installed by now.

Excellent location, safe parking in house, walking distance to main city attractions. We made a day trip by train to Marseilles and the hotel staff was kind enough to guide us and also let us park our car till we return.

The elevator only goes to the parking if someone at the reception authorizes it (which makes it not that friendly to go pick things up from the car if you forgot something).

Acceptable hotel that we used for bed and breakfast on a short stop in the city. We chose it because it has a charging spot for EV in the parking. They said they had 2, one generic electric cars and one only for Teslas. I didn't see the generic one, but the Tesla one worked great. Instead of 10 EUR for the parking, you pay 15 EUR and that includes charging it for all night. It was not possible to reserve the spot, so I guess we were lucky; I am not sure if I would risk it again. The parking is in an enclosed place behind the hotel (private for the hotel) but it is outdoors (i.e. no roof) We paid 11 EUR per person for breakfast. It was a good breakfast.

Hotel d'Angleterre has unusually friendly, welcoming staff. Breakfasts are excellent, with a wide choice of food and drink available and a good atmopshere. There is a useful free coffee machine and a well chosen small library. Boulevard Raspail is a pleasant, fairly quiet street with fine plane-trees, within easy walking distance of central Avignon.

There was nothing I didn't like!

The staff was so pleasant and accommodating! The room was basic but very clean, which is the most important thing! The breakfast was so worth the 12 euro. It was a beautiful spread and more than ample! I can't say enough good things about this little hotel. If you are taking a river cruise, this hotel is highly recommended. You could actually walk to the Port, but if you'd rather not walk with your luggage, a taxi is 10 euro..

It's a challenge to find anything negative - there were no coffee making facilities in the room, but they were available in the reception instead.
