Lovely hotel right beside the river. Centrally located - a short walk from the main pedestrian street. The staff were superb - helpful and pleasant. Afternoon tea and cake are included. The hotel has bikes which you can borrow.

Bed was typical French size....140cm wide and short so your toes hang over the bottom edge..... Just wish hotes would adopt a 160cm double as a standard at least.

Free Car park- an absolute winner in Chamonix!!! Great location - wonderful staff Wifi great Free tea, coffee and cakes 4pm-5.30pm - great way to socialise with others We are regulars over 10 years in Chamonix. Wish we had discovered this hotel 10 years ago!

This family run hotel, is in a great position with very comfortable amenities. Our room was comfortable, light & roomy with good storage. Balcony provided stunning mountain views. Unsecure wifi adequate. Breakfast worth the price. Generous, good quality & variety. Free afternoon tea a bonus. Staff friendly & helpful. Great value for money.

Well, perhaps the tv network could’ve had more English-speaking channels, but I suspect that’s a function of what’s available in Chamonix, and to be frank, I doubt that many are traveling to Chamonix to watch tv. :)

Everything! In the midst of a 4-month trip, this was my best stay so far, and one of my most memorable ever. The “basics” were superb! The room was meticulously cleaned, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, the shower was hot and powerful, the location was perfectly placed by the river (with its constantly soothing bubbling) and near the city center, but without the noise of those directly in the center. And the staff was efficient, kind, and approachable not only in advance of my stay, but in advance when answering questions about travel to and within the area. And then there were the “extras.” The afternoon complimentary tea and cakes. The riverside garden just as a spot to hang out in peace. The consistently excellent recommendations on restaurants and activities, both thoughtful and detailed. And back to the staff - just a superb sense of helpfulness from literally everyone met, from the front desk, to the breakfast room, to the room attendants. Now this is not a modern high-rise, so for those used to American business hotels, this isn’t that! But for those who welcome the quality standards and attentiveness of a small, locally-owned property, this represents a perfect option in Chamonix.

WoW truly exceptional - what an amazing experience and I am seasoned traveller. I have stayed at many hotels but have seriously never experienced true hospitality until this stay at L’Arve they truly make you feel LoVed. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. All the Staff I encountered went above and beyond even when I had checked out they still treated me like a guest offering me services, coffee and snacks. Big shout out to CAROLINA, what an amazing woman so kind, generous and very well spoken. Carolina was very informative in terms of the things to do in & around the area never experienced customer service to such a level until I met you. BiG thank you. I will surely be returning again & again & again. Also rooms were very clean facilities were excellent, Sauna and showers were again top notch and fellow travellers staying at the hotel were an excellent bunch, not forgetting the pool table and table top football game. The hotel reception area has a fantastic decor with contemporary & vintage designs.Credit where it’s due.

We enjoyed our stay. The location, the background were excellent. The staffs were so friendly and very helpful. Only the down part was the shower was so slow and it takes quite long to heat up.

Our room 48 was not that great.. old carpet, smelly bath room.. balcony with a view on the construction. I guess they have better rooms but we had bad luck 😅

The hotel has very nice staff.. you can have coffee anytime and a cake every afternoon👌 the private sauna is small but ok for two.. you can reserve the slot on reception.

The room on the first floor was far from it's best shape. The furniture, carpets, bathroom, a disappointing experience.

The toilet area is separate from the shower and sink area. This made everyday routine task difficult. Also there were no English channels on TV. Only French channels.

Location was perfect. Right at the start of the town center. Breakfast was good. 24×7 coffee available at the reception. Bed was comfortable. It was small for 2 adults but since I was traveling solo it was perfect for me.

the bathroom was miserable mildew on the floor grout, extremely small, you couldn't seat conformably on the toilette because it was to close to the sink shower was extremely small no a/c - supper hot

the staff was excellent the breakfast was great. we ate one of the best breads ever the interior court was great too

I could not have a shower cold water, I was told I was having a shower to early, it was 18.30 , then I was told it would be hot in the morning, well it wasn't. Also I said I was leaving early in the morning and asked for a breakfast box to be made for me ,they said no problem, gesso what no box in the morning, the receptionist in the morning said , do you think I am a cook !!!
