Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

GermanyWe booked a family room ("soundproof" from the details page on booking.com). Unfortunately, there is only one family room on each floor, close to three elevators. At least one made odd noises when moving up and down. It sounded like cables and metal sheets grinding on one another. We woke up every time the elevator passed by. Look further when you and your family plan to have a good night's sleep and don't want to spend your holiday dealing with hotel management. We moved rooms nearly every day: packing up in the morning, checking out of our room, dropping our baggage at the reception, and moving into our new room in the afternoon, all to figure out that it was next to the noisy elevators—again. All this procedure and sleepless nights felt like vampires consuming energy we'd like to have left somewhere in downtown Paris.
The location is great. Close to the metro, parks, and a couple of restaurants. There is even a running track that is open for the public close to the Tour Eiffel and Seine.
